  1. Anyone else having this problem? Turning off autocorrect settings for fractions fixed this problem for me. I can turn off stacked fractions in Mac, but this is annoying for other reasons, although much less annoying than not being able to use OIP to do math. For me (macOS 10.14.6 hacked onto MacPro early 2008) to turn off stacked fractions System Prefs>Keyboard>Text then delete all the autocorrect settings for fractions in the list. I could not figure out how to shut this off for Vectorworks only so it is system wide.
  2. I have an update on this. It seems to have something to do with autocorrect and stacked fractions. Not sure if this is unique to my set up. I have MacBook Pro 8,2 running macOS 10.13.6. Running VW2021 sp4.1 Here is what happens: Scenario 1: I have a circle or any geometry, not unique to circles, I edit the diameter in the OIP by subtracting 1/2" macOS autocorrects to ½" and VW2021 fails to do the math Scenario 2: I have a circle with a diameter that has a fraction in it, say 10' 0 1/2" I click on diameter to edit in OIP, say *2, macOS autocorrects the fraction in the diameter to a stacked fraction (10'0 ½") and vectorworks fails to do the math Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Hah! You're right. Major Brain fart. Actually a relief.

So this one is hard to comprehend, and is making it so I cannot trust my drawings. I am getting different dimensions for the same elements. For example, I create a line on one layer that is a given dimension, switch to another layer and snap to the same points, and the line is a different dimension. Now I cannot be sure of the size of the drawings. I have included a screen shot to show what I mean. The dimensions are on two different layers, both layers are at the same layer scale.
  5. This was my silly mistake in the test file, and I got that working in the file I uploaded, but, it did not work in my imported-from-older-versions worksheets that live in template files. Something looks to be broken there, with is unfortunate for me. I made a new worksheet that queries the callout text, and that worked, but older/imported worksheets are broken. Imported from VW2012 😞
  6. I am having difficulty getting 'Callout'.'Text' to work. Probably doing something silly? I have worksheets imported from older versions of VW, but they no longer bring the text of the callout into the worksheet. Callout Text.vwx
  7. Yes, thank you I will try that. I am going to try to track it down when I have some time. Seems random at the moment, although I have only noticed it on imported templates. "Clean" files are fully functional.
  8. Hello, I am having an issue where simple geometry (i.e. rectangles) are losing ability to be edited for size using the object info palette. For instance, if I create a rectangle, and then would like to resize it using the Width or Height fields in the OIP, it has no effect. The value just reverts to original value. This is using template file that were imported from VW2012. Hoping I do not need to rebuild my template files. Currently running VW2021 SP4
  9. Hello fellow VW users. I have recently upgrade VW from 2012 to 2021. Welcome to the future! Anyway, is it possible to edit callout text on screen or must it always launch the callout library dialogue box? Currently it slows me down, but will I eventually embrace this new work flow?
  10. The Window settings dialogue box opens up to full screen size, very annoying. When I try to resize, I can only resize the width, not height. As soon as I resize anything the cancel/okay buttons disappear so any changes made in the dialogue are lost. macOS 10.13.6 VW2021
  11. Hello I have a few older macs running osx 10.8.5 and Vectorworks 2012. I know at this point I am several updates behind, but VW 2012 does what I need it to do at this point. My issue is starting to be that OSX 10.8.5 is getting dated and incompatible with other applications. I am wondering if VW 2012 is compatible with OSX 10.10. All my hardware could update to that OS, and would by me some more utility out of these machines. Computers are Mac Pro early 2008 and a Macbook Pro late 2011 Thanks for any real world experience with this
