  1. I have used final quality render works and it works.. Is "display planar objects" selected in the viewport options?
  2. I have had a lot of trouble with this over the years - You will need to play around with it. I have had the most issues with strobes and blinders.. They explode quite frequently. I have found a resolution in treating the entire light as a base, only way i have found to completely eliminate the issue.
  3. Right click on the lighting object in your resource browser - Edit 3D component - deselect any selections - Object Info Window, click the "Data' tab - There should be a "part" and "lighting object info" or something along those lines. You can edit that info from there. Change channel numbers ect.. Also available to access via > Spotlight drop down menu > Reports > Lighting Symbol Maintenance
  4. There's a TON of info in the help section. Has some great how to's as well. Start there and work your way from the venue onto the stage. it's how i learned some many years ago.
  5. You woul dhave to deselect and then drag them individually with snapping on to get them to line up without spacing.. no real shortcut there.
  6. Just build your own library I have been using a library that i started in VWX 2012 and have carried over.. works great. Keep things organized. Everyone has their own style and the only real way to keep it clean is to start from scratch with your fix library.
  7. I'm going to keep the pressure on. I'm glad I'm not the only one who was annoyed by this.
  8. is anyone else having issues with the fact that the "Y" axis rotation in "set 3d orientation" for instruments has been turned into head roll on the z axis for lights? Its really causing issues with exporting into light converse and MA3d. I have submitted a help ticket in order to address this issue, I just would like to get some feedback from other vectorworks users in the community. Is this something you find useful? If so, how are you using it? Would it be even more useful to have added the "roll" as a third item in set 3D orientation? I think that the focus point tool automatically does what the "Y" axis in set 3D does in 2017 means they have added a manual adjustment to an automatic feature... ::confusion is setting in:: Would love to hear your feedback.
