  1. This happened to me yesterday with multiple viewports rendered in hidden line & an artistic renderworks option.  The viewports all turned black.  Didn't try restarting VW, but ended up recreating the viewports to resolve on a new sheet layer. VW2018 SP3.  Hopefully this is being fixed soon as it is a huge time waster, especially when on a deadline.

  2. We had the same issue with section viewports not showing information correctly in 2018. It was on files converted from 2017.  It didn't occur on every file converted, but we reverted back to using 2017 on the problematic files as we couldn't find a work around to fix the issue & didn't want to spend any more time trying to fix it.

  3. Tried on VW2018 and nothing shows up at all with the Vehicle Swept Path tool.  The path line is there, it's blank in top plan view, but visible in a 3D view, but no vehicle outline is displayed.

The Driving Curve also doesn't show the vehicle outline, but does if you choose 'Custom' as the vehicle type and enter the vehicle sizes manually.

What is the difference between the two tools?

They both don't seem to be functioning correctly.  I did try these some time ago with the same results and gave up on trying to use them.

  4. Jim, can you confirm this is a bug please.  I don't think it matters if a simple or complicated way is used to create an object, if it can be created, then VW should display it.  I just wanted a quick way to create a hollow box with no fill. I don't consider extruding lines complicated.

    Thanks

Gadzooks, I've been using the 'choose files' button to upload an image.

  5. Is there any update on whether back referencing is going to be added in 2018?  We were requested recently by a Council processing one of our Building Consents to include back references on all details.  This took considerable time and of course, they are all manually added, so no automatic coordination.

This doesn't seem like a major to implement.

    Thanks
