  1. Hi, I have been looking for a way to do something that, in my mind, should be very simple. I want to move a dormer placed on a roof face. And along with that, I would like to copy dormers on a roofface and distribute them. Cheers and thanks in advance
  2. Hi I have a problem with disapearing geomtry when in a perspective view. I have find something about the internal origin, followed the steps to relocate, but the issue remains! I have attacheda video of what happens. Hoping for some magic!😀 Cheers Andreas Vectorworks Architect 2020 - [Vermundsvej.vwx] 2019-12-11 12-23-48.mp4
  3. Hi ASagatov I did not see your reply till now. I have re attached the photo. Do you need anything else from me? Kind regards Andreas
  4. Hi On several occasions, and in different projects/files I experienced that the rendered model is not aligned with the physical model. It happens both when rendering in a viewport and directly on the layer. It happens in all versions I have worked with since v. 14 (with renderworks) through to 2020. In the attachment the blue line connects the same house... Am I the only one with this issue? Cheers Andreas

  6. Hi All I don't know what wzs wrong, but i replicated the node in new file and everything worked really well!? As to using special letters as Dalton mentions, I have find this also to be a problem when exporting a file - even if it is the folder that is named with a special letter. Thanks for all your replies - I consider the problem solved Cheers Andreas
  7. Hi It doesnt seem to work. When using the debug tool, and when I click on a connection line that has turned red, nothing happens - other than th line is no longer red. On the other hand, if I add a couple of random nodes somewhere else in the same document, the debug works?
  8. Hi all I am having difficulties using the debug tool in Marionette. The connection lines turn red as they are supposed to when I hover, but nothing happens when I click. I am on a PC running version 2017 architecture SP 3 I hope someone out there can either help me or tell m if I am alone on this one Cheers Andreas
  9. Hi Pat Thanks for the tip. What I want is something as in the linked daylight animation. In this I have made the object transparent with 31%. It works for me, but not good enough for showing to someone else. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1ViGDVxXKJDUU16VURreDFETkk I have tried using the script, but the object does not cast a shadow. As to using the Custom Visibility command, I cant figure out what you mean. I have thought about using Blender, but I like to keep things within one platform for as much work as possible. And I really like the animated time/date stamp option in VW. Is there anyway I can do this in VW? Cheers Andreas
  10. Would it be possible to make a script that makes a solid object invisible for a camera? I do not have the resources to buy C4D, and though it is possible to do the same thing in Blender, I would like to keep it within Vectorworks.
  11. Thanks. The clipcube trick is almost all I needed. The next step for me is to make a daylight simulation movie. The only workaround that I have found is to make a transparent material at 31 % and render it in Open GL. The result is a little too hazy, and it wont work with a proper renderstyle. Any tips on that?
  12. Hi Folks I have had this question in another topic, but realized that it belonged here. So now I will re-ask:-) I am looking for a way to show daylight/sunlight in top view in a house, but as if the roof above was on. I have tried creating a transparent texture that casts a shadow, but it only works in Open GL with transparency set to 31% or more. It will not work when rendered properly. I attach an example of how it shouldn't look...

  14. Hi I have been looking all over for a basic explanation of the different nodes. The description option does not do it for me. Is there a kind of Marionette for Dummies out there? Andreas
