  1. Hey all-- I'm trying to export 3D views of my model to some other graphic format (whether it's bmp, tiff, psd, etc. I don't really care) so I can work on the view in Photoshop. It works fine, except the resulting image in Photoshop is really pixelated, and it doesn't seem to help to ratchet up the resolution (I compared exporting at 300 dpi to 600 dpi and there was no difference). Is there some way I can do this and come out with a nice sharp image in Photoshop? By the way, I'm running VW 9.0.1 on Mac OS 9.2. My version of Photshop is 5.0LE. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! Andy
  2. Hi everyone--I left this message on Vector Depot and will do the same here. I'm working in a small architectural shop, running VW10.0.1 /OSX on a G4 IMac. We've just started saving files as PDFs, then emailing them to a local repro shop for full-size plots. I believe they're using OCE plotters. On our first set of plots back, all objects (text, polygons, etc.) with a white background print with a grey (maybe 50%) background. With some objects this isn't a hard problem to solve--I just change the background from "white" to "none". But with many objects, I want the white background, i.e. to hide the objects behind it. (The drawing looks fine as a PDF--i.e., the PDF does NOT have the funny grey background.) Any idea where the problem might be? Am I missing a step in the "Save as PDF" process? Or maybe it's in the plotter driver? Or something else entirely? Thanks for your help! Andy
