I can not create a 2D closed polyline object representing the paved road surface from a road centreline (polyline) where the pavement edges retain circular arc control points. Offseting a polyline with lines & arcs with the offset tool creates a new object that is a polygon with lines & line segments not a polyline? In addition the midpoint between 2 arc curves controls the maximum radius not the radii of the 2 curves? The workaround was to insert a corner vertex between the arc vertexs. Is there a way to select circles by the radius of the circle? Vectorworks Landmark 11.01

When attempting to import survey data in UTM coordinates that are 1420 metres apart in the x direction the "Range Calculator" dialog box appears. Message "Largest range is in X direction at 1372.89. To fit this data in the drawing, adjust the parameters below: Unit Type: (changed to meters) Layer Scale (1:500)". What is the Range Calculator & how does it function & why are there no available scales > 500 in the drop-down menu. Thanks Bruce
