Thanks JimW. Yes I am using that setting, but a rectangle annotation on the sheet layer is producing this message, which seems unexpected, and there is no way to set what fill color a rectangle will show up as.

I've set up a sheet layer with a few design layers utilizing the layer color option. I'm trying to add annotations to the sheet layer, in particular a box with a fill, and I am getting the message 'Color change hidden by Layer Colors preference.' I don't see anyway to set a layer color for a sheet layer, so I'm kinda confused why I am getting this message. Any help? thanks for any help, VW 2016 Rollin
