  1. I'm running WinXP. My Vectorworks files are located in my 'F' partition; "Program Files/Vectorworks." In running the "web based update installer" for v. 9.5.1 it seems to have installed all the new files into the root of my 'F' partition and not into any sort of "Vectorworks" directory. So do you recommend that I uninstall the update using Win's Add/Remove programs and re-installing, so as to get all the individual files out of the root directory of the 'F' partition ?? Also - since I also will need to update my laptop's installation - it might be easier for me to download the big 50mb file and save it to a CD and install from that. My question is - in installing this does Windows see this as a new seperate program, or does it modify the original Vwks 9.5 installation ? If the former, assuming everythingthing is working properly - can I then delete my original 9.5 version ? Thanks for your help. Bob Jared bobjared@mindspring.com
  2. It would be great if one could assign Zoom In and Zoom Out to the mouse wheel. Even though the MS Intellipoint software drivers allow this for a MAC it currently doesn't work for IBM. Thanks;Bob
  3. Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm aware of the hints that you bring up - they are all part of the standard MS Intellipoint options. Assigning a command to the wheel (not the wheel button) isn't part of the programmable options. However since many graphics programs (Paint Shop, Irfan View, et al) do use the wheel to actually zoom in/out - I thought that someone might have come up with a way that this might be applied to the MS Intellipoint options. 4. On a Microsoft Intellipoint Explorer mouse - has anyone investigated a way to make the function ZOOM In/Out controllable by the mouse wheel ?? Thanks;Bob Jared

  6. Something that isn't clear from any of the install instructions (anywhere) is the relationship between ver 9.01 and 9.5. Can someone clarify this; I just installed VW+Spotlight 9.0.1 on a new computer. I then immediately ran the install program for version 9.5 from the CD that I ordered from the Nemetschek website. It seems that ver 9.5 is a standalone version - and I didn't actually need to install 9.0.1 in the first place ?? If so, I assume that I can remove ver 9.0.1 (?) The Windows XP ADD/REMOVE programs menu shows the following items; VectorWorks 9.0.1 - 983 mb VectorWorks Spotlight - no version or size shown VectorWorks Spotlight 9.5.0 - 970 mb Also in Explorer - 2 seperatre Directory Folders have been created on the drive to which I installed; VectorWorks 9.0.1VectorWorks Spotlight 9.5.0 So the questions are simple - can I remove ver 9.0.1 ?? Conversley; when I update my laptop which still has v 8.52 on it - Can I start directly w/ the 9.5 CD? Thanks;Bob Jared
