  1. Hi Jim, I think I've sussed it out just now after searching the forum, that user had a slightly different problem than the one I was trying to solve. If I created a new doc I could place the same symbol into it no problem. Show/snap/modify others was/is engaged for layers and classes. The problem seemed to be that my imported DWG layer and my original document design layer were in different scales. I hadn't thought that would have mattered as I was drawing only on the DWG layer, setting both scales to 1:100 seems to have done the trick. Thanks for your swift response. Enjoying the learning curve!
  2. Hi folks, Having a bit of a strange one here. I've successfully imported a DWG form a client, I can draw lines, polygons even truss objects on top of their plan in my own created class. When I try and place any lighting symbol (I've tried a few) they do not appear on the plan, I cannot select them but if I move the cursor over the region they were placed I see them as a greyed out broken line outline. Any help much appreciated. Sam.
  3. That was exactly it! Thank you so much Kevin. :-)
  4. Hi Steve, Thanks for that, I did double check but both the classes are non sub classes, I have some other sub classes set up in my project that are all working just fine. I'm at a loss! Sam,
  5. Hello again, I'm also having a very irritating issue, I have a simple 3D extrusion which is my LED Video Wall, this object is in its own class (Video) and its own layer (Video Wall) however turning on/off visibility of another specific class (Floor Lights) also makes this class and object within invisible. Annoying as I would like to create some viewports with the Video Wall without the Floor Lights class enabled but can't manage it at the moment! Any help or ideas are much appreciated. Regards, Sam.
  6. Hello All, I was chugging along pretty happily (apart from the usual model view woes...) until I started marking out some dimensions. Now it seems some elements of my 3D lighting symbols have migrated themselves into the 'Dimension' Class, if I turn on/off the visibility of this layer elements of the 3D symbols turn on/off their visibility also. Obviously the fixtures were not originally placed in that class. Any ideas how this might have happened? Thanks, Sam.
