  1. Hello, Is it possible to import multiple images (like the DXF DWG) in VW 12? We are really missing this. Regards, Peter
  2. Ariel -> Is it possible to offset walls? I never found this in my VW Basic version? Regards, Peter
  3. Another question. Is this version ready for the transfer to Intel based macs? Is it already written as a "fat-binary"? Or do we have to purchase another copy of Vectorworks next year? Regards, Peter
  4. Bara -> Dank U wel (thank You) !! Will Renderworks 12 also be available? I'll keep an eye on the designexpess site! Regards, Peter
  5. Looks very good. Too bad we have to wait half a year before it reaches the Netherlands. I would also like to see some more images with the new renderworks engine ie. Radiosity and the soft shadows etc. I can't seem to find them on the NNA site.
  6. Just take a look at the beautifal Apple monitors!!!
  7. Is there a light in your scene? Or is the camera located inside an object?
  8. Try the demo from their site. You need to register. I tried it with exports from VW and it looks good. Still haven't had much time to try everything. Maybe next week! Regards, Peter
  9. If you need a cheap renderer, try Cheetah 3d. This has support for dxf import and has HDRI and radiosity. Check the demo at www.cheetah3d.de . The program costs only 69 dollars, this is also good value for your money, I have some test renders if you would like to see some results.
  10. Hello, I have a 3d model of a building which i like to use in a sheet layer, I render the front and left views and would like to insert a perspective view as well. My question : is it possible to insert a saved view (perspective) within a viewport? I think the custom view option is terrible. Please help! Thanks in advance.
  11. For the white material you could use a constant reflection. This looks like a luminance material. Hope this helps. Good luck.
  12. Have you tried to use a "none" fill for the bitmaps? rather than the solid fill?
  13. For imageprops, just take some pictures of friends or family and turn those into imageprops. Or take some photographs at your local shopping area (don't know about privacy rules or anything). I know it's a heck of a job to cut out all the people, but once done, you have an up to date resource. We did it a couple of times, where the architect was placed within his own design. Good Luck
  14. What OS are you using? We use OS 10.3 at the office and we have the same problem even when we copy files within our network. It has something to do with the privileges within OS X. If you run the same OS then we might both be helped here. :~) Groeten, Peter
  15. I know it's not in your policy to announce an update before it's ready. But isn't there anybody that can say a little bit about any update. It's almost 8 months without an update. Ah well, just curious!
  16. --> Kaare, do you have some pictures of this, it sounds very interesting, but I don't really understand how it looks. Thanks!!
  17. Although this wish is almost 2 years old, there still is no possibility to use superscript or subscript, please make this an option for the next version.
  18. If you set up multiple views, then you can make an animation from one camera to another. Not always the best option. But I sometimes use it for a more dynamic fly around a building. It's more flexible then the "simple" 360 degree rotation around an object. Good Luck!
  19. I work on a dual 2,5 Ghz G5 and it works great, make sure to have lots of RAM (i have 1,5 GB) thanks to the dual processor, the image renders about 40% faster because of the 2 scanlines. I think both processor aswell as RAM help to decrease rendertimes. The G5 is capable to have 8 GB of RAM, I think it's a good investment, however, the G5 2,5 GHz has a long delivery time, so instead you couuld choose the 2,0 GHz, maybe a little bit slower, but you can hardly tell i think.
  20. Choose 'current view' in your export image window instead of 'all visible objects'. Hope that helps.
  21. I use the sphere technique sometimes as well. This way if you make fly around movies, the sky will also look more real. And you don't have the same sky background in all you renders. Maybe it's more time consuming, but the results are there.
  22. And there's no way to share this Camera Tool ?........ :-)
  23. The selection issue sounds logical. Vectorworks redraws all objects including selection points, this takes more time if you're zoomed out and see all objects, or if you're zoomed all the way in and it only has to redraw 1 or 2 objects.
