Can we also get the class dialogue box to expand so I can completlly read my class labels. Currentlly if I have Multiple classes that start with the same label but have a different ending I cannot tell wich one I have chosen.

Is it possible to increase the size of the Class Dialogue Box?? I've got some rather long names for classes and they start with the same letters so when I go to swith a class on or off I cannot completely see which class has been highlighted since most of the name of the class is not visable. Currentlly I just guess I've got the correct one.

Ok this is kind of new... I'm having problems with the stair tool and the curtain tool (both of which have worked in the past) In my latest drawing I used both tools and when I switched to an elevation view of the drawing the stair and curtain objects stay 2d... they do not switch to 3d. Any clue as to why?? What could have caused this. It seems that I remember this problem from before bu didn't bother to write it in but instead just fixed the drawing by replacing the symbols with the same.

I'd like to see sliders replaced with numerical information... it's hard to replicate a texture if you are just sliding a gauge.

I'll give that a try.... where do I send a copy of this file??

It kinda worked ... the text in the Info layer is all jambed up together and then after it was finished sending it to the printer it took FOREVER to come back to a working operation. the printer is a HP Deskjet 882C

OK...Anybody have a clue about this glitch? I render a file and then try to print that image along with other text in another layer, actually a couple of other layers. All but one layer prints fine. The layer with all the client info does not print. My notes layer and plate layer print just fine, it's only the Info layer that does not. I've done a work around by exporting the rendered image I want and droping that onto it's own layer. That works, but it's a step I'd rather not do. VW/RW/SL 10.5 Win xp 2.8 GHZ 512 Ram

KATIE KATIE KATIE, With this new upgrade it seems you have your work cut out for you. here's the newest problem..... With the upgrade to 10.5 the Duplicate (CTL,ALT,D) dialog box has changed how it works and how it opens. In VW 10.1 The dialog box opened and I could tab thru to quantity box and then onto the x or y box I wanted. Now as I tab it goes from Duplicate to Circular array... and when it does go there it automatically checks the rotate duplicate box. This screws things up because if I do go in and check the Duplicate box and then put in the XY cordinats thatI want and click OK my duplications then rotate... I then have to back up and do it all over again after I UN check the "Rotate Duplicate" box What can I do to stop this...

I'd love to be able to keep a dashed line dashed when I turn it into a 3d polygon so that it interacts when I change views

Arn't you stunned when you post something in August and at the end of september nobody from NA bpthers to reply... I really thought that these posts were monitored.

You are right I too have tried this and find it frusterating. Somebody told me to place my lighting positions on another layer that you can then change the layer height to... but then if you want to render this the lights are not on the same layer as the scenery soit doesn't light.

I too have a similar problem... I try to use the 3D selection tool that allows you to "drag" the focus to a Loci point. This seems to never work. It focuses it to some random point that does not correspond to the loci point at all.

katie .. thanks.. but... if I do choose the program to open the file.. ie Photoshop.. it says that it cannot read the file.. so I have to save it as a tiff file.. SOMETIMES THIS PROGRAM WORKS SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T

I'm XP ...2.4GHZ.... 120 GB....VW. 10.1

I've run across this bug a couple of times and I can usually fix it if I restart VW or the entire machine. But now this no longer solves my problem. HERE's the rub... I export the drawing as an image file.. I choose Photoshop or quicktime and do as I've always done and save the file, but now the file comes up as a "22 file" with an icon that looks like an adobe acrobat icon. I used to have this problem and the "type" label that would come up was an "03 file" DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS

I think a VERY GOOD book is "vectorworks for windows and mac" by tom baer... it comes at VW from a differnet point of view..

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.... So after I upgraded to quicktime pro I can no longer export any kind of image file. I've tried to export as a Photoshop Doc, quicktime file or tif file and nonme of them can be opened by photoshop or a quicktime viewer... any suggestions?
