  1. @Jack B Yes, you can use the keyboard keys "U", "I", "O", and "P" to cycle through the different tool modes in the tool bar. For this specifically, I think the "P" key will get you into that field. Thanks!
  2. Are you able to send the rlmdiag.txt file, from the web interface? Also, there is no need to use the "Activate License" from the web. The activation is done by the Site Protection Server app when you add the Activation code or license file.
  3. Check the Reprise folder in Program Data. C:\ProgramData\Reprise
  4. @MikeSmithWSU This error means that the directory that stores certain RLM data can't be found. It is usually a permissions issue. Are you on Mac or Windows?
  5. Can you try turning on "Cropped perspective" in your Document Preferences? Go to File>Document Settings>Document Preferences>Display
  6. @AHDesign1 Hi Matt, The Viewer does have the ability to select, move, and delete objects. However, you will not be able to directly edit plug-in objects (doors, windows, etc). Also, there is no way to Save any of the changes made in the Viewport. I have tested this on several machines here and I am unable to replicate what you mentioned above. Thanks,
  7. you shouldn't need to open the .dll files. Vectorworks will access the necessary .dll automatically in the background. This article is just the steps on how to remove and reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ components that Vectorworks needs to run.
  8. Can you try undocking the Object Info Palette to see if this helps with the slowness? Also, are you up-to-date with SP3?
  9. Hi Matt, With the graphics card on your MacBook Pro, I wouldn't expect good performance at all with Vectorworks 2018. We recommend dedicated graphics cards with at least 1GB of dedicated VRAM. However, I wouldn't expect the constant freezing in the way that you describe. This is probably due to the Mojave upgrade. Can you try undocking your Object Info Palette and resizing it? Does the freezing still occur? Also, you'll want to make sure you are up to date with the latest Service Pack for Vectorworks 2018. Thanks!

  11. Hi Andrew, did you also upgrade to Mojave? Can you try undocking the Object Info Palette and resizing it to see if this helps?
  12. Can you switch to Good Performance and Compatibility and let me know if you have the same problem?
  13. What do you have selected for you Navigation Graphics setting? Vectorworks Preferences>Display>Navigation Graphics
  14. @Phileas You may be able to select the connected 3D polygons and convert them to a Mesh. Once you have a Mesh object, you can use the Simplify Mesh command to clean it up and make it less complex.
  15. @Jackmill1 We do have Master Snap points to help prioritize what is snapped to. This can help when you have a bunch of snap points in a small area. Here is an article with more information: http://app-help.vectorworks.net/2019/eng/index.htm#t=VW2019_Guide%2FBasic2%2FObject_Snapping.htm&rhsearch=master snap&rhhlterm=master snap&rhsyns= Hope this helps!
  16. @Amanda B Roberts hmmm, that is very strange. Can you contact our Tech team directly so we can troubleshoot on your machine? tech@vectorworks.net
  17. @Amorphous member is this hanging only occurring when manipulating Space Labels? Are you on macOS Mojave? Can you try undocking the Object Info Palette (OIP) and then resizing it slightly? Does the freeze still occur when you work with the OIP undocked?
  18. @HWood you should be able to edit the Door Style in the Resource Manager and make the ID Tag section "By Instance". This will allow you to choose whatever Tag options you want for each instance of the Door Style that is placed in the drawing.
  19. @Matt PanzerThis has been submitted as a bug. Reference: VB-160710

    2019 Crash

@Gaidal_Cain It looks like your graphics card is below the minimum recommendations for Vectorworks 2019. We recommend a dedicated graphics card with at least 1GB of dedicated VRAM. Your machine only has an integrated graphics card with shared VRAM. Do you have another machine you could try using VW on?
  21. @Josh S.The steps are basically the same in 2019 as they were in 2018. If you want to send me a copy of the file or device, I can figure out what went wrong.
  22. @Biscontin getting the same result here. Thanks for submitting this! I sent it to our engineering team for review. Hopefully it can be fixed soon. You can refer to this number for updates on the issue. VB-160615
  23. We did a lot of work to the OIP in VW2019 to make it more responsive. I am wondering if you would get the same result in 2019. Do you have a VW2019 license or can you try working in the trial for 2019 to see if it is any better?
  24. Can you try undocking the Object Info Palette and then resizing it? If you work with the OIP undocked, is it still slow?
