  1. I'm not experienced with that, but I'll give it a try next bright day we have. Thanks for the inspiration for the testure. I still wouldn't mind a 2D pattern for the elevations, though.

    Perma-Stone

Does anyone have a texture or hatch for Baltimore PermaStone? You know it when you see it, and it's on my house in Massachusetts.
  3. Is there some way to have an alternative coordinate system at a user-defined angle so that an entire drawing file could be tilted back and forth and worked on like a drawing which is rotated on the drafting board? This would permit working on an angled section of a building, say, while retaining the ability to work in an orthogonal manner on that angled portion (i.e. your dimensioning and offsetting would be accomplished on an orthogonal alternative grid rather than on the diagonal) I have tried using working planes to define another angle, but find that will only work on strictly 3D objects. I haven?t been able to use it for walls either as that operation requires Top/Plan projection which defaults to the ground plane when I try to use a working plane angled to the ground plane. 3D polygons work on an angled working plane, but when you add dimensions, text, and other non-3D elements, they do not hold position at the angle of the working plane. Is there a way to do this that I just haven't discovered yet?
  4. Thanks, Katie! When can we expect those bug fixes?
  5. I upgraded to 10.1 last month and used the program on 2 current files. I experienced the following problems, and have returned to 9.5: 1). With Show Other Objects in Groups selected, when I am editing within a group or a nested group, I lose smart cursor cues (they are on), and the ability to snap to edges, corners, centers (all selected). This is very important to me and I can?t afford to lose those features when I edit a group. 2). When I create a series of solid polygons (like joists, for instance), and I put another polygon on top and use the Tool ? Clip Surface command to cut the polygons, only half of the polygons are cut. Version 10 deselects the cut objects and leaves the cutting object selected, where Version 9 left all objects selected. I can live with that, but not with the inability to cut all the objects I want. 3). The Last View keyboard shortcut, Ctrl-7, was useful to me in Version 9, and I can?t find it in Version 10. 4). The Offset tool shortcut, Alt+- doesn?t work, even though it is in the workspace editor as such. I like the keyboard shortcuts built into Version 10, and am ok with the Resource palette. I?m hoping that the top two issues can be fixed, as they are critical enough to my practice that I have gone back to Version 9 for my drawings. I run Windows 2000 on P4 w/ 512 MB and nVidia 64 mb GeForce.
  6. I find I often perform multiple operations of Organize Custom Selection, selecting the same options each time, and it would be extremely helpful to have the default be the same operation as the one I just did, rather than having to re-select each time. It would also be nice if the default for the last used tool was the same as it's last operation rather than the operation of another tool (such as the thickness for double line tool and wall tool).
