  1. You are right, As I recall all mine were saved to my C drive and I moved after I was happy with them.
  2. You mentioned earlier if the internal origin coul be moved, did you move it in my original suggestion? This will reposition the design layer to a new location in world co-ordinates, this should shift your references around.
  3. Have found that sometimes it can take a while to save the image depending on the complexity of the file you are exporting. Also check the location to where you are exporting. Make a simple box and try exporting the image file. If it does not work within a few seconds you got a problem. The image does not show after creating one, you have to go find it and open. HTH Ps lovely day here in Florence Italy.
  4. I believe you can run on 2 computers but not at the same time. Otherwise it's like getting one licence for free.
  5. Dam, our problem was that the ex referenced view ports had shifted and did not sit over the original location. If maybe the sheet layer view ports don't show the design layers sometimes If you recreate a viewport to the same sheet layer the damaged viewport corrects itself. Try this.
  6. Hi, we had this same problem and to fix it don't move any design layer etc. simply set the origin to the same location to a common point for each design layer. Save and close all then simply reopen and all should align. HTH.
  7. Check the icons top left and see which one works (not at computers) hit "U" to tab across or select. If you show wall in perspective mode and double click on corner of wall the icons usually show up. HTH
  8. If you change the scale of each of the textures you can have them from boiling to glass

  10. If you are using 1 viewport to do this you need to look at foreground setting and background settings for the single viewport. You may have to turn one setting to none. If you are using 2 seperate view ports it's a good idea to give them seperate classes so you can easily control which ones you are lookin at.
  11. If you choose the custom stair from your configuration tools menus you can draw stairs with as many twist and turns as you like.
  12. I have found that only when you activate certain commands the auto working plane command becomes active. Hopefully someone will provide a clear answer as to what category of commands activate this.
  13. You can use custom select to select all dimensions and put them on the class you want. Where to put the walls, I use the foundation walls (crawl space) area on seperate class and make a wall style. We often have a sandstone wall from footing to u/s of floor joists so I start style at footing and end say 250mm below FFL. Many options for start and finish but I have found styles and stories the way to go. Look at Wes Gardners posts on this they are very informative. HTH
  14. There a few trees and things in the he VW library and there a lot of library's available. Not at home but someone will post the sites for sure. You can also make your own props easily.
  15. Generally the illustrators render a building in VW then photoshop all the entourage in Photoshop if it's an external image and internal most done within VW and then add a few highlights in Photoshop. Plants rendering use too much rendering power and don't usually look all that good. HTH
  16. Nice image now animate it with vectorworks. A Challenge for anyone. I am away for a few weeks so wait in anticipation for results.
  17. Send the file to Tech support I had a problem with a file and sent it to them and within a few days they found the problem, tapered extrusions that caused a crash as soon as I tried to render a viewport. They told me what to delete and all was good. They are great!
  18. If you have updated from an older version and also this drawing some aspects of older drawings will cause crashes in later versions.

Did you select the item first? Select the item and when you get the lever arm hit the tab key and you can tab along and type in the angle you need.
  25. Hi, Sometimes its easier to have a site modifier component as part of the item you are putting on the site so it updates the model. Say a swimming pool, for instance, make the pool and also a site modifier and add it to the pool so when you put the pool in the site it updates, move pool and site changes. HTH
