  1. Hello @teresalyons, Please send me a private message with the usernames you are both using to sign into Vectorworks Cloud Services and the log files from both computers and we will try to help you. On Mac, zip up the entire folder: /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/Nemetschek/Vectorworks Cloud Services On Win, zip up this one: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Nemetschek\Vectorworks Cloud Services Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  2. Hi @Oaktown, I just tested Vectorworks remote on both Windows and Mac, and I did not have any issue connecting. Please check this article, it contains a lot of information on how to troubleshoot an inability to connect. https://cloud.vectorworks.net/products/remote/connection_guide/ If you are still unable to connect, I can work with you via personal messages to try to figure it out. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  3. Hi @Zsombor, Thanks for your feedback. I just wated to let you know that your wish has been acknowledged and added to our internal system for consideration in the future. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  4. Hi @S. Schmidt, I can help you with cloud-related questions or issues. From what you are describing, it seems like you do not have the setting to render out of date viewports prior to export turned on.
  5. @jeff prince @mjm @zoomer Sorry, I meant Vectorworks 2023 SP6 😅. Not yet released, but it will be soon.
  6. @jeff prince Room plan and Photos to 3D are both part of Nomad, but they use different technologies. They are both based on frameworks developed by Apple, and RoomPlan currently doesn't produce textured models. I hope Apple will change this in the future. Some projects can only be scanned by one of the methods, while others can be scanned by more than one. For example a room can be scanned with Room Plan for just a few seconds, but you can also use Photos to 3D to get a textured model. Photos to 3D will give you a detailed texured model. Room Plan will give you a basic model with walls, doors and windows, and some boxes for existing objects in the room (represented by meshes). Room Plan gives you a quick scanning method if existing textures are not of importance. If you require textures, then Photos to 3D is more appropriate. You get a USDZ out of both methods. If you are scanning a large area outdoors, you can't use Room Plan, as it only detects a limited number of architectural objects, like doors, windows, openings, and furniture. Drone images submitted as "Photos to 3D" is more appropriate. Whether you need to scan twice or not really depends on the type of project you are working on and your specific needs. If your project requires textures, and you need to use Photos to 3D, then RoomPlan is probably not going to give you too much benefit on top of it. I hope this answers your question.
  7. @jeff prince, The USDZ import supports textures (Photos to 3D model) with Vectorworks 2024 SP6. I don't think RoomPlan generates textures.
  8. Hi @Tom W., When the Room Plan feature was first released in Nomad, Vectorworks did not support USDZ import. This is the reason we also generated an OBJ. Starting with Vectorworks 2023 SP4, USDZ import is supported, so you can just use the .USDZ in your case. The USDZ file is natively produced on the mobile device so no cloud processing is necessary. However, for the OBJ generation, we have an automatic cloud job that gets submitted upon finishing the scan. Since you didn't have an internet connection at the time of scanning, the job submission failed. It is not getting re-tried upon restoring of the connection. We also do not have a manual way to submit such job as our goal is to be able to transition to the use of USDZ file exclusively. The Help article will be updated to clarify this. I hope this helps. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  9. Hi @Kimbo and everyone else on this thread, We have been considering this request for quite a long time now 😅. It is still on our future to-do list. Sending viewport data back into the file you have opened in Vectorworks (or not) at the time the cloud rendering is completed is not an easy engineering problem to solve. There is an easy solution - we can create a copy of your file, but we think this approach is not ideal and it may cause more problems than the one it will solve. After tackling a few other high priority projects, we are planning to devote more time to the ability to get data back from the Cloud into the Vectorworks file. Many other features will benefit from this capability, so it is definitely something we are looking forward to working on. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  10. Hello @JHKim, If you are asking about Project Sharing with Cloud Services, you need to use the same Vectorworks version. This is a requirement for Project Sharing in general - not just for Cloud Services, but for other storage providers as well. The Cloud can process older file versions if you plan on exporting files to PDF, Panorama, etc. You can share files with each other regardless of file version, but you won't be able to work simultaneously on the same file. When sharing with your designer, you can just export to v2022 to make sure they can open what you have shared with them. When they share a 2022 version with you, you will be able to open it with Vectorworks 2023. All this sharing can be done via a Cloud shared folder with edit permissions, or via shared links with download-only permissions. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need more guidance with your setup. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  11. @Wesley Burrows, Please send me a private message with a link to your .vwx file (could be a heavily trimmed version of ot with just the parts that are not working) along with the Fonts that are not working and I would be happy to investigate further and see if I can make them work for you. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  12. @Wesley Burrows, Please take a look at the linked thread and let me know if you can't find the information you need to fix your problem. I would be happy to investigate your specific situation and provide further guidance. On the side note, I filed a request to our team to see if the output locations for Dropbox and Vectorworks Cloud Services can be remembered similarly to the way it is done for the local processing option. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  13. https://cloud.vectorworks.net/links/11eddd25ab24e2a894de12d7462326d1/ is the correct link to the file. The link you posted earlier (https://cloud.vectorworks.net/links/11edab8735590d0f82a212d7462326d1/) is different. It seems like you have deleted the first link (unshared the file) and created a new one (shared again)?
  14. Can you show me a screenshot of what your Share link dialog says on the web portal?
  15. I have not received any reports about this. Can you provide more details on what you are experiencing? For example, you share a file, and after some time, it is no longer appearing as shared on your Shared list? What do you do in the meantime? Generate a new version, rename the file locally? Any additional info would help point us in the right direction.
  16. Hi @girwin, I am glad it worked! You can select all of them at once and then and click Options (click to select the first and then Shift+Click to select the last. This will select everything in between). If you save the set, this setting should be preserved within the set. I think there is also some logic that sets this option by default for newly added sheets once you have selected it previously. So, over time, it should become the default for you as you start using it.
  17. Hi @girwin, From the Export PDF settings, check the "Export the whole printable area as one page" and see if you get the desired results. You can find this setting on the Publish dialog, when you select the items you want to publish to PDF, and click Options. Note that if you are publishing more than one sheet, you need to make sure this option is set for all of them.
  18. I have entered this wish in our project planning tool for consideration.
  19. @raumplaner, There was an issue that sounds similar to what you are explaining, which was fixed in Vectorworks 2023 SP4. If you haven't yet upgraded, please upgrade and let us know if you are still experiencing the issue. And yes, an example file would help a lot. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  20. Just to follow up here for anyone reading this post... After further investigation, it was determined that referenced geometry is getting exported in the .vgx file and appears to be working fine.
  21. I entered this into our task planning tool. It will be considered. Thanks!
  22. @setdesigner, Redshift rendering is available on the cloud, please send me a personal message with your username, so I can investigate why it may not be working in your case. You can use the Publish command in Vectorworks to select individual sheets for export and submit to the cloud for processing. Yes, referenced geometry is not supported in the .vgx export currently.
  23. @Jacob@tangably.comThe fix is included in Vectorworks 2023 SP4, planned for release next week. Users will not have to do the manual fix after they upgrade to SP4.
  24. Hi @Jon wat, Are you submitting the .vwx for PDF generation from Nomad, i.e. for processing on the cloud? Only PDFs generated by the cloud contain measure data. Also, measuring works for top/plan viewports. Here is the Help article for this functionality: Ifhttps://cloud.vectorworks.net/portal/help/pages/measure-and-mark-up-pdf-files/. If you still can't get it to work, please let me know and I will try to help you further. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  25. Thanks, @Christiaan! I will share your nice words with the whole team that was involved in this challenging effort. I am so glad to hear that you are loving it.
