  1. That is correct! Just to elaborate a bit further: Folders have the Sync and Edit permission in order to enable collaboration workflows, especially Project sharing. Sharing an individual .vwx file and allowing multiple users to open and work on it at the same time would lead to conflict copies.
  2. Yes, there was an issue with the viewer in general, which was fixed today.
  3. @Bertf We are looking into it. I don't believe you did anything wrong. None of my .vcdoc files are loading currently either. There was a deployment this morning and something must have gone wrong.
  4. Hi @Pavol D., I am glad to hear you are finding the new feature useful! Regarding the download option, I think we could make this, but I feel like it may bring dissapointment as the downloaded file would not have everything that the .vcdoc contains. I'd suggest that you make a separate export of what you want to share as a pdf by using the Publish command. We can think of your idea though, as long as we can manage the expectations when the download button is clicked, it may be okay. How do you envision this will be used? Why do you think your collaborators may need to download a PDF, instead of working in the .vcdoc file online? Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  5. Hi @rudybeuc@gmail.com, This is on our list of future improvements. We understand the importance of working offline and I hope we will have support for it in the near future. The prior Nomad version had support for this, but wasn't perfect either. Since the app just underwent a total redesign and reengineering, we hope to have a better offline support in the upcoming versions.
  6. Hi @Pavol D., I think in your case the .vcdoc may be too big for a mobile browser to be able to handle (goes out of memory while loading). The cloud reviewer has limited capabilities on a mobile browser as well (some features not available), so in general, we recommend opening the file in the Nomad app, by clicking Open in Nomad from the banner, appearing on the top of the page. Please let me know if you may have any other questions. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  7. @htt55, I am happy to report that we released a fix for this crash this morning (app version 14.5.2903). I recommend that everyone who experienced this crash clears their local app cache folder, to make sure no side effects remain. Windows: \AppData\Local\Nemetschek\Vectorworks Cloud Services\Cache Mac: /Library/Caches/Vectorworks Cloud Services Delete all the files in this folder or the folder itself. Please let us know if the problem persist or if you have any other issues. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova

  9. @Andy Broomell, Thank you for the suggestion! We may not be able to insert the additional metadata, but we can try "guessing" that an image is panoramic, when it has a certain aspect ratio and use the panorama viewer for those images, even if they don't have the metadata. We are considering this solution at this time. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  10. I am sorry for the inconvinience, we are still working on a fix for this problem. It has been reported a number of times already and we think we know what is causing it. I hope we will have a solution soon.
  11. @Dknorr, To make the Project sharing work with Vectorworks Cloud Services, the .vwxp file needs to be shared inside a folder with Sync and Edit permissions. All recipients then need to add the shared folder to their Home file list, which enables the syncing to their local computers (when the Vectorworks Cloud Services desktop app is running). Here is the article that explains this in more details: https://cloud.vectorworks.net/portal/help/pages/collaborate-in-shared-cloud-folders/?app=WEB# Let me know if we can help with anything else. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  12. @htt55, We don't have a fix yet, but we are actively looking into the problem. Hoping to have a fix sometime next week.
  13. Hi @BartH, Please zip up send me (inikolova@vectorworks.net) your desktop app's local database files located at Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Vectorworks Cloud Services/ Windows: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Nemetschek\Vectorworks Cloud Services\Cache This would help us investigate the issue you are seeing. Thank you! Iskra Nikolova
  14. @Mike T, If you change any setting after you have saved a view, you need to use the option to Redefine the view in order for the updated settings to be applied to the saved view.
  15. @SAmmerman, @JuanP, Our team was able to identify the issue and it should be now fixed. The issue was not related to the length of the password but the time it took for the SSO to respond. It was just a coincidence that the SSO responded after the password change.
  16. @wellebracht, Would you be able to send me the link to your presentaion in a prvate message, so our team can troubleshoot? Thank you!
  17. Interesting, this workflow works for me.
  18. @2N 2L Due to the current low adoption rates, Vectorworks is holding off on developing an app for this platform for now.
  19. @wellebracht, How are you adding the .vgx file to the presentation? You can navigate to the file in your cloud folder on the web portal and right click and then select Add to presentation. Or from the slide itself, you can select to add a file from the Cloud storage. I guess if you download the file and then you upload it from your local computer, the Saved views would be lost.
  20. @LMS1989, I am sorry, I don't think I fully understand your question. Are you asking about viewing of 3D models (.vgx files) in a desktop browser? If yes: You are correct. Unfortunately, point clouds are not supported at this time, as well as any 2D geometry. They are just not being exported by Vectorworks. We hope we would be able to support them in the future.
  21. @wellebracht, We released a fix earlier this week. We were not able to allow editing of the saved views within the presetation, so you can only view existing ones. I believe this would be acceptable. With this, you need to know that files added to presentations do not maintain a "live" link with the original file that is in your cloud storage. If you have created saved views in the vgx file after you have added it to your presentation, you just need to re-add the file to the presentation. When you overwrite the existing file, all pins will update to use the new version of the file. Let me know if you still have problems. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
  22. @AALBORNOZ, Here is the link to the Cloud help where the latest version of the presentation feature is documented. https://cloud.vectorworks.net/portal/help/pages/create-presentations/?app=WEB
  23. @wellebracht, Thanks for reporting! We will look into it.
  24. Hi @BartH, Thank you! We are currently working on tethered mode for Vectorworks Odyssey, which would bring light direction control, shadows and ambient occlusion to VR. Adding saved camera positions to Odyssey has also been discussed and it is a possibility for later this year. Let me know if you have any feedback on the hot off the press saved views in the 3D viewer.
  25. Hi @BartH, It is not currently possible to configure the initial view of a vgx file, but very soon it will be. We are preparing to release a new version in mid January 2025, where you will be able to save views within the viewer. Best regards, Iskra Nikolova
