9.5 came out in 2002 - but so did version 10, so it's possible your 2003 drawings are from v10 and won't be readable with v9.5.

[Wall Lines on Doors and Windows]

I think you have a couple things going on.

 

1.  you have lines under all the walls.

 

2. the default door classes have been deleted.

 

Try this:  

 

1 Open a blank document place a door somewhere.  Watch the class list while you do it.  You will probably see Glazing-Clear appear.

2 Draw a wall.  Drag the door into the wall.  More classes will appear.  Ceiling-Main, Sills.

3 Copy that wall with the door and paste it into your drawing.  Those classes will come along for the ride.

4 Select all the doors.  In the OIP go to Settings > 2D Visualization.  Make the Visibility Classes section look like this:

 

Then delete all the lines :-).

I'm not sure 2009 will even run on Windows 10.

If you do get it to install, pay attention to the version of Quicktime.  12 years ago that was a common issue.

[Different ways to organize column data in a worksheet]

You need to first click on a row header (In the above example it would be 2 or 2.1 or 2.2…).  That tells the work sheet which database you want to sort ( you can have many databases in one worksheet).

 

Once a row header is selected you drag the sort or sum icon to the column you want to sort or sum.

 

I agree, it is a nonintuitive UI.
