Does anyone know how to add a renderworks texture to a solid addition? I can't seem to get it to work.

I'm trying to send a file to a friend so he can print it on his 3d printer but the .DWG and .DXF format aren't working. They come up as wireframe even when I render them. Any suggestions on a format that the 3D printer will read as a solid object?
