  1. Ok, So I use the straight truss tool to create a stick of truss, add some pipe to truss, select it all and make a symbol, choose symbol with 'Light Position obj Tool', and then place light symbols at my positions. I go into 3D view, select my fixtures, 3D rotate at X 45 degrees, move lights in Z axis to line up with truss. All seems to be well, I move the truss and the lights follow, updating their focus positions etc. However, when I select everything and duplicate it a majority (but not all) lights go back to a flat elevation on the duplicated truss. Is there a workaround to this? Am I doing something wrong? I have a bunch of 'pods' that I'm designing for an arena show and need to duplicate and mirror a lot of this stuff.. Thanks
  2. I try to export to MA3D and some of the lights don't appear in the export dialog. Has anyone else ran into this?
  3. Hello. I tried searching for an answer and came up empty.. I want to be able to place the lights on my plot, export to MA3D and program rough positions, hang the lights in the real world and have everything match up. Is the orientation of the light taken into account with the 2D/3D objects? Are the tails on the side of the lens or away from the lens? Does anyone have suggestions for workflow? I'd rather not show up to a gig and have to adjust every light's profile on the desk for everything to match up. I was hoping there would be some sort of indicator as to where the display / cables are on the 3D object. I'm pretty green to VW so excuse my ignorance if there is an easy answer to this.
