  1. Great! It is on its way. Thank you so much!
  2. Thank you for your thoughts! I imagine there might be some issues with text once I am able to open the file, so I will keep that in mind! ~Nicole
  3. Hi, I am still not able to open the file at all. Any thoughts for what I can do? Thanks, Nicole
  4. Hi, I am not able to open the 2012 English created file in the 2009 Japanese VW. I have tried exporting it as a VW 2009 format and as dwg and dxf files. When I go to open either the original or exported 2009 format files (both ending in .vwx) the menu image for both is the classic black box with "exec" in green on the upper left. Once clicked, it tells me in Japanese that the file was created using a different year or version of VW and cannot be opened. I have tried changing the name of the 2009 export to a Japanese character plus .vwx, but also no luck. I am not able to select the dwg or dwx files at all. Thanks for responding! It is so appreciated!
  5. Hi, I am interning for a firm in Japan that uses Japanese VW 2009 on a MacBook. However, I am still getting the hang of Vectorworks and wanted to use my English 2012 version on my PC. How can I convert my file so that it will actually work on the firm's system? The only text is in the classes and layers, so I hope that is not a problem. I have tried exporting as an earlier version in VW, dwg, and dxf form. No luck so far. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks, Nicole (Sorry for double posting this on the import/export forum! I am getting a little desperate!)
  6. Hi, I have just posted a question about Japanese VW, but you guys seem to be in the know on this one. I am still trying to figure out the basics of converting a 2012 English PC VW file to a 2009 Japanese Mac one. The only text is in the layers and classes, which I think should be easy enough to change. When you say renaming the file, what do you mean? Is this specifically a text issue? I have tried exporting as an earlier version in VW, dwg, and dxf format. But to no avail! Your wisdom would be much appreciated! ~Nicole
