    maybe you have accidentally set the line render to sketch render instead of wireframe

    when i am making a section viewport to create an elevation, i click once at the start and finish of the section of wall i want to show but when it creates the viewport it shows the walls either side of the section viewport, do i then have to adjust the crop in the viewport to only show the section of the walls i want. thanks

    i have created my floor plan as a viewport, from my plan on my design and then created a section viewport from the plan on my design layer..... when i go into the viewport with the plan, the section viewport shows the notes elevation AA ok but it does not show up on the plan in the viewport, i just can't remember how to do this any help would be appreciated thanks

    i guess you could add a solid material say light grey as a class to act as the glass, maybe nudge it just in front of the existing material and render the elevation just using this class to blank out the interior elements

    Jin just sent the file to a mate of mine he has managed to open this in an old copy of auto-cad but will still like to know if theres a problem my end as i am working on a few projects with this co in london thanks

    i have received a file .dwg from an architect in london and when i try to import it comes up with this error message TEIGHA LIBRARY ERROR any ideas folks

    Not at all peter what settings did you use for the render it seems pin sharp on screen ? 300 dpi or higher

    Just a thought with this menu command so well hidden I am trying to rack my brain how I could have checked the box mentioned by Jim does this default when you download a new service pack upgrade

    this is what i get..... i am wondering if i have to do a checkbox somewhere....its just strange that it works ok in V13

    this is a test file in V14 with a viewport from a camera and again from a new file it did not give me the option to link a camera view

    have tried that and although it takes me to the viewport it doesn't give me the option to link the camera i have archived the same file and opened it in V13 and it does give me the option to link the camera view even when not looking through the camera but choosing it in plan view strange

    i am trying to open the default textures from my resource library in V14 it say that the following files were saved using an older version of VW and therefore can not be added to the list of favourites.....how do i update the file so i can use this in V14? thanks

    when i set a camera view and then create a viewport it used to say do you want to use this camera view for the viewport, this does not seem to happen any more do i need to set this in a preference setting, or do you think this may be a fault in the system thanks

    Interesting I know you can replace artlantis lights exported from vectorworks and that you have to adjust the strength of the light in artlantis but I didn't know you could export a symbol with a light in the symbol is this something that has worked in previous versions

    kevin following up on your comment how designer have benefited yourself what tools have you found useful i am on the verge of ordering the kit but just want some advice before i shell out some hard earned cash cheers

    thanks jim i will give the co in london tomorrow to see what they can do i wonder if selling my present software , and then buying the suite may be better anyhow...that for tomorrow.....have a great day

    just watched the designer you tube video looks good wonder how much it will cost me to add this module any ideas?

    i know kevin i should have bought the whole package as i started of with fundamentals and then bought architect and renderworks.....silly me what tools do you use for your work in designer that you find useful...is it much different to architect ?

    your idea works to jim probably better than my solution as it will allow me to change some angles on the cross sections cheers
