  1. Hi all, The company I work for (https://www.candelacontrols.com/) is looking to bolster our CAD department. We are a Lighting Control Systems Integrator located in west Orlando. Drawing packages include aspects of wiring diagrams, mechanical assemblies & architectural floor plans/RCPs. Ideally this role would fit someone who falls under "designer" as there is always some problem solving that goes into these lighting control systems. But we are more than willing to train someone to fit the role. This is an on-site position. Please head over to our website I've linked above if this position is of interest to you to see more about the company & the kind of projects we do. If you click on the careers tab at the top you can see more about the position or other positions we are hiring for at the moment. If you'd like to get in touch to start a conversation about employment please shoot my GM an email - dward@candelacontrols.com Thanks! -Chris
  2. Hey dlb, The firm I work for in central Florida (west Orlando) is actively hiring for a CAD role. Give us a look on our website (https://www.candelacontrols.com/) . Under the careers tab you'll find some info on the role. If you'd like to start a conversation about employment please contact my GM - dward@candelacontrols.com . We are a lighting systems integrator coming up on 25 years running. An average drawing package for us includes aspects of wiring diagrams, mechanical assemblies & architectural plans. Looking forward to hearing from you! -Chris
  3. Hey, Conrad! Totally understandable & did not mean as a complaint. Trying to guess what every user wants would be an uphill battle at best. I'm currently playing around with CC with the spare time wonderful 2020 has afforded us, trying to figure out if its worth reworking our whole work flow to move over to using CC. So far so good. Between reading the forum here and just mocking up a system riser I'm learning my way around it. If/when I become more knowledgeable in CC I can hopefully produce some worthy feedback for you. Thanks!
  4. I found this to work too (didn't want to make my already long-winded question longer by including this). The fact that no one else had brought it up made me think I was doing something wrong so I thought I'd ask. Thank you, Rob!
  5. Gonna tag on to this thread as I feel if someone else has the same issue this may be the correct place for them to find it. I'm trying to make a standard custom Device Label & I've done everything in all the steps I've found in other threads...however I'm finding that when I attach them to a device they are at a different scale on the schematic layer than they are within the symbol editor when I make the changes around what I'm looking for. For example, I've spent some time creating a patch panel symbol I liked, in space it's 1.6" wide, so I made my new Device Label that width. When I use the Object Info Palette to switch to my created Device Label the width is now 2.032". Is there something I'm missing here? I've replicated this in base ConnectCAD template that I have not messed with. Thanks for any help!
  6. I hate to revive a nearly year old thread, but I'm having the same issue with one machine in my department we've updated to Mojave. The work around seems to be switching to the Shape tab on the Object Info palette, clicking our title block & then switching over to the Data tab and then filling our title block out. This has to be done every time or VW locks up. The machine in question is running Mojave 10.14.6 & VW 2018 SP6 (checking for updates shows this to be the latest) Anything we can do here besides move up to VW 2019 or 2020?
