  1. Considering how important it is for the site model to reflect the survey data, I'm really surprised this contour "corner cutting" issue hasn't been addressed before this. I had assumed I was doing something incorrect and my work-around just let me get on with the project. Seeing someone else struggling with the same issue was at least reassuring.
  2. I never could get enough new loci to keep the software from cutting the corners. I found that making a duplicate offset "fake" contour in my source data with a slight variance (~ 1 inch) both horizontally and vertically forced the software to follow the correct path.
  3. It looks like I had something set wrong in a texture. I had fiddled with the settings of a default water texture. The default one worked just fine but did not have quite the look I wanted. I adjusted my version by trial and error and got things to where they finally worked. I guess the lesson is that if unexpected Renderworks turns up check any textures you might have played with. It is interesting that Open GL and Fast Renderworks never had a problem. It is too bad you can't upload images to this board directly from an office computer. If I could I would have showed you what I was seeing.
  4. Renderworks final quality produces a surrealistic mirror image of the ground drawing instead of the HDRI background image selected. Lower quality renderings seem to work OK. Particular background chosen doesn't seem to matter. Using Vectorworks Design 2015 latest update on iMac 10.10.1 Anyone seen this as well? Cool image but useless for my work. Any suggestions?
  5. When I place a 3D skylight such as a Velux into my roof it inserts on the under side of the roof - not the surface. Everything seems to work, the cut out shape, position, etc. I've followed the step by steps from Vectorworks but can't seem to get things right side up. Any help? VW2013; iMac; Lion.
  6. I guess I will pile on here. I am having this same problem even though I have plenty of memory Ram (8G) and lots of hard disk space. Sometimes saving a file seems to corrupt it. Not nice.
