Yesterday when pulling walls in Top Plan I got the beachball that hadn't resolved over-night. I restarted and then VW crashed twice when attempting to pull a wall. I opened a BU file and renamed it. No repeat as of yet.
Yup--basic elevation profiles and over the years I have just drawn 'details' of soffit and eaves and such and keep a library of them.
I have also found even in 2022 that 'Roofs' don't always behave.
I am not sure if I have found a bug, but I suspect that I am missing something.
I've created a worksheet using pre-formatted Materials by Architectural Objects.
It pulled up what was expected in walls and slabs, but the summerize features don't seem to be working. It just ignores the toggled choices in columns even though the indicator does change.
Ha! I figured when you asked. That was a semi-wasted effort. But thanks, for a few minutes, I thought I was losing it. Of course my wife, would have said--that happened years ago.
🙂
Well--at least I have site modifiers!
I have been running 2022 Arch on a mid-17 iMac with 40g ram on 12.1 for a few weeks now and the only issue is that Custom Cabinet works slowly---everything else is nice and snappy.
Not sure why CC crawls like this.
I should add that I use two 27" screens with no issues there.
Hello folks,
It seems since SP2, the custom cabinet facility is not working properly. For instance, I cannot add doors or shelves--only box size and columns.
Any assistance is appreciated.

I got in touch with tech and I hope that the answer will also help others.
After some going back and forth, apparently the only way this works is to simply drag the 3D window object from the resource browser directly to the roof object--this is contrary to all instructions, but that is the resolution.
Have a good day and thank you.
I have done that and just now again. I am not using top plan view but have tried various 3D views including Top View...I have verified 3D componentry many times. The doggone Object Info panel tells me so as well as the Resource Manager.
LOL
Just went through the same motions two more times making sure that the window was 'active', that is is 3D and using the 3D insertion tool--all verified and still no dormer dialog/roof box.
