    Thanks for your reply. Since my original post I checked with Gomark the UK VW distributor and they think the dongle is dodgy and are sending me another one. FWIW I have always felt that the dongle 'solution' is a bad move in terms of moving VW forward in the UK. This rather re-inforces my prejudice.

    Hello Just purchased VW Architect with LandMark and have installed on my machine. However, when launched the Serial Numbers Dialog box does not come up and I can only run the programme in demo mode. I am using a dongle (which is inserted into the USB port on the back of my machine). I have tried re-installing 4 or 5 times and have trashed the preferences/re-built the desktop to no avail. Any idea what is going wrong? Mac OS 9.2.1US, 466 G3 with 448 mb RAM UK Dongle Many thanks.
