thanks for your attention to my query. looking at the Spotlight Workspace, selecting any icon in the Spotlight Palette (tools) window does not activate the tool. Instead, a window opens stating: ?The plug-in tool ?X? could not be selected. Check to make sure it is in your ?Plug-ins? folder.? Such is the case for any Spotlight tool selected. Within my drawing (dwg) I can select and move any fixture, but I can not place anything new. Four examples are: ?Light Position Obj.vso?, ?Curtain Object.vso?, ?Accessory Insertion Tool.vst? and ?Inst Insertion Tool.vst?. The plug-ins are located inside the plug-ins folder; I can see them, why can?t Vectorworks 12.5.0? i am working on a borrowed computer and do not know the history of the VW installation. could it's provenance be an issue? except for this stumbling block, all seems well.

using Vectorworks 12.5.0 (Renderworks and Designer), OS X 10.7.5; i want to add Spotlight. i'm guessing i purchase an add on, or something. but how do i actually do it? ghd
