  1. That's it! Great. I find this more helpful than a 3rd party solution because in the expanding debugging view it allows you to see which render feature is the most taxing on the graphics card. There is no note in the help documentation about this feature. A search for frame rate or FPS points to setting the frame rate when rendering out a movie.
  2. @markdd Frames per Second, or the frame rate of the visualizer. If your previs session seems to be lagging, chances are the frame rate is low. I like to see the frame rate as feedback to how far I can push the visualizer before it begins to lag.
  3. In lieu of a current feature displaying the FPS in Vision, what are some preferred freeware programs people use?
  4. Hmm.. I don't recall installing a loopback adapter on my desktop for this to work. After I updated the DMX Provider in Vision to sACN everything clicked. In ETC Nomad, under the sACN Output Viewer does the Source Name read as Mac? My Source IP address is my current ethernet address.
  5. I am sharing a video here of a 5-second intensity fade up and fade down in Vision and MA3D. I have noticed there is a bump on and bump off in Vision as it nears 0, but MA3D gradually fades up and down. Has anyone else noticed this with Vision? Vision_MA3D Dimming Curve.mp4
  6. Great! I'll be sure to submit the request and review what other functions could useful to control via DMX.
  7. Could this parameter be more than 8bit? At DMX output value 001, the ambient intensity registers at 0.37. This is on the higher end of what I prefer for my low ambient lighting, so I still need to reach for my mouse to achieve the ideal intensity. I am enjoying the feature this provides, especially for the period of time I am importing my model and verifying textures imported properly etc..
  8. Vision users! At the firm I work with our previz workflow has been exclusively within the MA3D bubble. After attending the Design Summit in November, my interest in Vision was peaked once more. We've had the opportunity the past few days to explore in depth what Vision has to offer. I was encouraged by the ease through which I exported/imported between VW & Vision, and the visuals have stirred conversation about when either product would be more correct for a previz scenario. What are you doing with Vision? I'd love to see examples of how other users are integrating Vision into their design process.
  9. I am having some difficulty with options in a custom RW Style, specifically the Anti-Alias and Full-Screen options. I've stumbled across what appears to be an oddity related to a custom Renderworks Style, and how it reacts to different options checked or unchecked. I first thought the issue was related to my Renderworks Style but as a result of some more digging I've been able to reproduce the following effect consistently. I've attached the working file here as well. Is my process here a misunderstanding of the RW options or are things WAD? Displayed below are screenshots from the attached file. I am using a custom Renderworks style, accompanied by an environmental HDRI image. I produced the following three rendered viewports. In the fourth viewport, I update the RW Background to a generic 2-Color, and my render appears. I believe the issue lies with the second viewport, where Full-Screen is checked and anti-alias is unchecked. In my understanding of how this should work, a rendered image should appear. ANTI-ALIAS Box is Checked ( FULL SCREEN is unchecked) FULL-SCREEN box is checked (ANTI-ALIAS is unchecked), and the render is blank. FULL SCREEN & ANTI-ALIAS boxes checked. FULL-SCREEN box is checked (ANTI-ALIAS is unchecked), and 2-Color RW Background is selected. Render appears. Renderworks AntiAliasing Bug.vwx
  10. Excited to see that the grip library is expanding with the inclusion of the Manfrotto stand symbols. Can we expect Matthews c-stand symbols not far behind?
  11. Is it possible for a script to assign a specified class (written into the script) to single or multiple selected Lighting Device Objets?
  12. I've often encountered this issue when entering an ISO view or flyover and then return to Top/Plan where I find my labels exploded as shown above.
  13. I have accidentally created two separate references to the same file, 'gmv symb lighting v2019.vwx' They are both up-to-date as a 'path to relative document'. Unfortunately, I don't recall the exact steps I took to find myself in this position. I believe one was created as an absolute reference. Knowing this, what steps can I take to reconcile the two? Thanks.
  14. In the attached photo is a custom position label symbol, with a custom record format. I am experiencing an issue where the symbol does not refresh to its previous data when executing the undo command. The top symbol shows the 'Position Label Field' with the default value P-##, and the bottom field shows the 'Position Label Field' with the modified value from the Spotlight Numbering tool, using the Object with Record option, 1. For this example I executed the undo command, and as you'll see in the OIP it reverts to the original field data, however a nudge will be required to refresh the symbol so it will update. The action of nudging symbols after undoing a numbering action is not ideal. Has anyone else had this experience?
  15. @BSeigel Did you have an opportunity to follow up on this topic, and its functionality? Does it work as designed? Those that also commented here expressed the same issue of inconvenience with both the lighting device and focus point remaining selected. Thx.
  16. After many years of working on the aluminum mac keyboard, I am looking at purchasing a new keyboard. My goal is to have more customizable shortcut keys, better tactile response, and a more ergonomic layout. Looking for recommendations Thanks!
  17. In the attached screenshot, I am showing my original label legend on the left and the duplicated legend on the right. Why have my labels in the duplicated legend been repositioned to their default (x,y)? Is this WAD? I don't want to use the 'Create Label Legend from Instrument' command because all I'm updating in this new legend is disabling 'right reading' of the Channel field.
  18. FWIW, I have also just experienced the fields resizing, and losing their formatting when adding additional 2D fields to the legend.
  19. Will it be possible in a future release to class out the leader lines?
  20. The walkthrough tool almost works at 100% with the multi-pane view. With multi-view panes enabled, and a floating view pane as the active view, I activate the walkthrough tool. The keyboard hotkeys to move left, right, up and down work as designed, but the error comes when clicking the left-mouse to enable the camera to orbit. At that time, the active cursor shifts to the Top Left view pane, until I click the left mouse button again. Then my floating view pane view is refreshed, and the active cursor is restored to the floating view pane window. I have been able to use the walkthrough tool successfully in the multi-pane view, without a 'floating view pane'. Floating View Pane Walkthrough Bug.mov
