  1. Hello, I'd really like to know how to set my own class definitions for plugin objects such as doors/windows. When I use these objects they come with their own class settings for the elements within the object, but I would like to define them so they fit within my own class structure. I know that I can set the classes for any object that I create after I create it, but I'd like to set the default classes so that everytime I create a plugin object it uses the correct classes. Searching around, I think that I should be doing this in the 'Customize Plugin' section within Tools -> Plugins -> Plugin Manager. But when I go to 'Door' and click 'customize' - I get a long list of parameters that I could potentially customize but when I select any of them the 'edit' button stays grey. Is there something I'm missing? Am I in the right place, and should I be able to edit these parameters? Or is there a more straightforward way to set the classes for Plugin Objects? Thanks in advance! Phillip

  3. Hi there, I'm having trouble with the size of the elevation benchmark. I have my levels in a design layer, I add the elevation benchmarks at the start of each level line, and I use the 2D scale factor to get the symbol looking about the right size. Then when I use a viewport to display a section on a sheet file, I also display the design layer with the levels, it all works nicely. As I scale the viewport, the elevation benchmark also scales. This isn't a big problem, but I'd like to find a way to stop it scaling, is there a way to do this? But the real problem is that I discovered that if I change the scale that the design layer is displayed at, the elevation benchmark symbols change size dramatically on the plot sheet. For example I had the design layer on 1:10 and the elevation benchmarks looked about right, then I changed the design layer to 1:50 and they became huge on the plot sheet. Why is this happening, surely the scale that the design layer is displayed at shouldn't affect the way symbols are displayed in sheet layers? I feel that I can't control the size of the benchmarks on the plot sheet as the display scale of the design file is bound to change. Or is this the wrong way to be using the elevation benchmarks - should they only be used on sheet layers so that you have total control over them? Sorry for long message, just very confused! Any help gratefully received!
  4. Hi, Recently upgraded VW and now our company font which we use in our titleblocks (Trajan Pro) is illegible (ie text replaced with nonsense characters) when we export to PDF. It looks fine on the screen, and it works when using the native pdf function from the print dialog box. Any ideas how we can fix this... sometimes don't realise that the font is screwed up until drawings have been sent out. I've tested it with a few fonts, some work, some don't. Specs: Vectorworks 2013 SP2 Running on 27" iMac, OSX 10.8.2 Thanks in advance! Phillip
