  1. I am currently drawing a simple building elevation. I have two design layers, Design Layer 1 is the building and Design Layer 2 is the shadow on the building. Design Layer 2 is at 15% opacity. I have both layers showing in my document so in Vectorworks both layers appear how I want them to at the same time. However when I export the file to a PDF one layer is much more prominent than the other, I can not get the PDF to look like my file in Vectorworks. I hope this is just something simple I am missing but its really frustrating so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
  2. I tried what you suggested and unfortunately no joy. I have attached a file just to show you what I see.
  3. Thanks for your help. I will try what you have suggested.
  4. I am using a PC running Windows Vista. I have attached a vectorworks document which should the problem. Completely off this topic but in your professional design experience are you finding that more people are using vectorworks or is autocad still the dominant design package? Thanks for your help.
  5. Sorry to sound stupid but I don't know what graphics card I am using or how I find that out. The blank spot on the template box only occurs when I am using OpenGL, there is no problem with the screen when I am using any other Vectorwork tools, that's why I hope it is only a minor problem easily fixed rather a hardware/driver issue.
  6. Hello. When I create a 3-D object and then render it using OpenGl I have an area within the template box(roughly a third on the right hand side) where the 3-D object will not show if it is moved into it. This is causing me a problem when I want to rotate a 3-D object to view it from different angles. I am using Vectorworks 2011. I would really appreciate any advice on this as I can't work out why I have a blank spot on my screen. Martin
