  1. WOAH. I swear I've tried that before. It did NOT work until I selected Lighting Device and set the "Modify only geometry in the class:" to the setting. Anyway, this is most excellent. Thanks.
  2. Perhaps I'm looking for the wrong thing. My wish is to get certain fixture symbols out of all the fixtures in a plot to be filled with a color. For example, I do NOT want to use the gel color as the fill color for the symbol as most of what we use is L202, it would just be a bunch of blue symbols everywhere. What I want to be able to do is to grab, for example, the 12 fresnels that make up the downstage wash and fill them with the color Orange (or whatever), then the 12 that make up the midstage wash and fill them with the color Lavender. Or indicate the specials or groups. I just want more options. I would like to do this for no other reason than to make things stand out among the other 300 fixtures in the plot. Is that possible? It seemed so easy in the demo video. And yet...
  3. Yeah. Nope. What am I doing wrong? Even if I follow those directions, nothing changes. I continue trying this method every time they push an update and nothing at all seems to happen. I am also using 2013 SP3 (Build 183378) on Windows 7. Infuriating. I've tried the suggested method and every combination of color/layer/class turning crap on, turning crap off. And it just mocks me. Seriously, how does this work? I'm beginning to think that it doesn't and is just some big dumb joke so I ignore all of the other little glitches in the software.
  4. Yep. Exactly the same issue with mine as well. Painfully slow. VW2013 SP1 Windows 7.
  5. update: Nope, I lied, it is mostly all back to plain text. Not everything, it seems random. It lasted about 10 refreshes. Again, what an amazing waste of time. And now, it appears that I'll have to go back into all of those layouts and set them all to be plain text so at least everything matches. Great. Any other suggestions beyond mine which don't work?
  6. The position summary is a great utility that I've always loved in theory. I say in theory because it always seems like it is going to work great, yet, it always falls flat. Is there any hope of having a better interface to be able to edit and change font sizing, position, and style?
  7. So, any reason why it is so incredibly slow to get from the Label Legend Manager into the specific fixture that needs its layout edited? It is impossibly slow. And, with that thought, is there any hope of ever having a better system for managing label legends because this one is just painful to use.
  8. I have been having the same issue with 2013 on a Windows 7 machine. I have multiple bold attributes in my label legends and when they were imported from 2012, they failed to maintain their bold status. Some items had their label parts in different locations on the fixture, like feet away from the fixture. Anyway, I ended up opening each fixture (tedious. very, very tedious.) And turning each item bold again. (which was an *incredible* waste of time thanks to the new vectorworks being even slower than 2012 on certain features, like editing the label legend layout). Anyway, I would select the items, click bold, click an empty space to de-select everything and then exit the editor. That seemed to work.
