  1. So my buddy is designing a house and we're wondering, "what is the difference between VW Spotlight, Architect, and Mechanical."? We are using Spotlight to design not only his house but a number of other projects. We're lighting designers but we like to dabble in pretty much everything else.
  2. Would it be possible to make multiple connection intervals with the truss tool? For example both 8' and 10' connection intervals? For my purposes that would be kind of swanky.
  3. I recently revised a group of symbols that I use on a regular basis to have textures associated with them. This is so I can change the color of these items without having to edit all the symbols individualy. The theory works well but each time I insert any one of the 4 revised symbols I get a window saying that "this texture already exists in the current document Would you like to replace it rename the one being imported or use the existing one." Is there a way to stop this warning from popping up every time I insert any one of those symbols, or am I just going about this the wrong way? All I need to be able to do is change the color of 4 symbols with relative ease. Can anyone help???
  4. The file is on my local machine. When I try to open it by double clicking the file itself I get the error. If I try to open it after I've been working in VW for a while I get the error. If I restart VW and the symbols file is the first thing I open from the open menu, there's no problem. [ 12-18-2003, 01:50 PM: Message edited by: danakasind ]
  5. I'm running VW 10.1 on a P4 2.6gig machine. When I try to open my symbols file and I get the error message "-49 Another read or write path open Attempt to Open File FSOPEN" then VW shuts down. I also know that the file couldn't be open by any other programs or users. Any thoughts? I also have another problem when rendering, something about runtime error abnormal termination. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-

  7. I think I have things for the most part figured out but I can't for the life of me find out what the SIA format is. I'm sure it's something simple so while the rest of you are laughing, could someone enlighten me?
