Christian, Tried your work around on several 2009 legacy files. Same result - Keynotes are always 100% defaulting to the "Default" keynote list and all other choices are unselectable. Changing them to call outs and then back again - always the same result. I cannot make them get into the correct, sheet or layer specific lists. I am starting a new project in VW 2012 and wonder what Keynotes will do in the new file.

I do similarly as the prior Posts. For the demolition I create a new wall type and use Red as the color and dashed as line style for the wall lines. When sent to printer it comes out as approx. 60% gray. Center of wall is white. Fore existing walls to remain, I use several types. One wall type has a Cross hatch center when I need a fire resistive wall that exists. The wall outside lines are .35 Gray. Otherwise the wall thickness varies 5" stud walls w/ gyp both sides, Thicker walls for say masonry or concrete. All (E) walls that remain are Gray outside lines .35 line thickness. New walls have .35 Black and varying hatches to show that they are new, are exterior or interior with material indications where appropriate. Final item is (E) walls that are modified in some way. Typically shown with a cross hatch. Be sure to use a wall types schedule on the various plans so it is clear to the contractor/constructor. One more point. I use design layers to separate the New, Existing and Demolished walls. That way I never have two wall types occupying the same space at the same time. Also easier drawing composition management, along with the classes on or off.

Here's the screen shot of the drop down that shows available keynote lists. All except "Default" are not selectable! Way big program bug.

I am getting the same problem. Keynotes show up on all sheets or design layers with each keynote list showing all the keynotes for the entire file. e.g. on my power plan Electrical Keynotes list for the first floor includes keynotes assigned to the second floor, landscape lighting, 1st & 2nd flr. lighting, exit window keynotes for the 2nd floor plan, mechanical keynotes, plumbing keynotes and finish keynotes. When I go to the other sheets, guess what? The same lists of keynotes show on all the other sheets! There is a place in the Callouts OIP that shows a drop down for assigning a keynote to a defined Keynote list, e.g. "Lighting Keynotes 2nd Floor" with the first item showing as "Default Keynote List". If you select the "Lighting Keynotes 2nd Floor" as the desired placement, VW rapidly assigns it back to "Default". Thus the Keynotes lists are not sheet or design layer specific, but are Global. This creates confusion and a lack of clarity. I am having to convert all my Keynotes to Callouts in order to complete my drawings. This makes for a lot of note boxes and Loooong arrows across the drawings to convey information to the builders. I am posting this as a Bug Report as well.

I too have been having problems with the Resource Browser in VW2012. Similar symptoms to Jeff B. This has been going on since I received the program back in 2011. I installed SP1 and that did not help either. I tried Mar Schrammeyer's idea and that did not work for long. I have since reinstalled and then updated with SP-1 and most recently with SP-2. Problem resurfaced this AM again. MacBook Pro, 2.3Ghz, 8GB RAM solid state drive 500GB
