  1. I was wondering if anyone had a particular printer/plotter 13X19" minimum, max paper size that works really well with Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) and with VW 2013 Fundamentals/Renderworks. My old HP B9180 just finally died and I'm in the market for a replacement. Was considering HP DesignJet T120 but I'm not seeing good posting regarding compatibility with Vectorworks. Any recommendations welcome. Currently Epson r2880 or r3000 are high on my possible list. Also do photography so would replace old HP's role there as well but wold like a really solid reliable large format printer/plotter that works well with Mac and VW. Don't do a lot of volume but need it fast when I need it so services don't work for me. Thanks.. --Bryan
  2. I too have just started looking into 3d NURBS. I have a friend of mine that asks due if I could do an accurate 3d model with thickness of a Toilet design. Ive done rectilinear and simple closed standard curve 3d object and composite object. However after looking at all the curves in a toilet I'm finding that it will be very challenging. If anyone is aware of any drawings on line that I could look at please point me in the right direction. I'd like to understand how to capture such an object. I'm thinking I need to cut it up in to pieces and create sections but getting then all to line up perfectly. Then there is the thickness issue. Ultimately I'd like to show the thickness of the material maybe even in a double wall configuration like a real toilet. The nurds to surfaces tools are really cool. Don't have thickness until you use the shell solid command. However this command seems to have limits on how complex a nurds surface can be before it will render it. Maybe this is beyond Vectorwoks but I'm not sure. Anyway any thoughts and or suggestions are appreciated. Good luck with 3d!! Enjoy.. --Bryan Harding
  3. You are correct!! OK I feel dumb. Must have switched the font accidentally. Odd that I've never done this before in the last 15 years I've been using this program. Thanks!! --Bryan
  4. I'm not sure if this is due to Mac OSX 10.7.3 or just me but I can no longer change the units marks for dimensions no mater which Standard or representation I select. I can either have no units marks or I get an upside down A for inches and a small curved E symbol for Feet. Maybe I have some new setting that I set accidentally. Don't know. Anyone run into this and/or know how to fix it? Running VW 2012 SP2 Fundamentals w/RW Very annoying!! Enjoy.. --Bryan
  5. Greetings... If I don't select Snap to Working Plane when using 3D dimensioning I get strange/annoying/erroneous results due to the semi-arbetrary selection of which vertex in the Z direction the tool uses for the dimension. Is there a way to get Snap to Working Plane to remain persistent? Every time I go from dimension tool to selection tool and or change the view direction the Snap to Working Plane un-selects. Is there some hidden check box or am I doomed to selecting this snap option every time I which to do a dimension? Enjoy..
