Hi everyone, I'm using Vector 2016 and there are two things that are not working correctly. For some reason, sometimes the program will not let me use keyboard shortcuts...This occurs randomly. Simple shortcuts like copy/paste will work on other programs opened and not on Vector. Sometimes closing and opening vector will make it work again. The other issue is that Vector 2016 will not open files with Hebrew letters, or files that were saved inside a folder which name has Hebrew letters. It will also not allow to write in hebrew in the "leader, trailer or note" options of Dimension. joey

Hi everyone I've been trying to export to DWG a set of plans and I can not get my Dimensions to be exported correctly. We use dual view in our dimensions as seen in the file attached. After exporting and opening it on Autocad we will see only the primary value and never the second one. Is there a way to make this work? thanks! Im using V.2016

this is my second try...I cant get to see light reflected on the round element..

Hi, I tried seeing the light reflected on the round object on the top. I created a small sphere that has glow reflectivity in front of the bottom mirror. The mirror will reflect this object, but the next mirror doesn't reflect the reflection of the first one. I also increased the indirect lighting bounces to 100. Maybe I have to change some specificatin in the mirror texture?

Hi, I cant make a mirror to reflect light to other mirror. In the experiment attached, I tried to make a game of mirrors, projecting light to one side and making it go out from other. I tried changing different specifications with the mirror texture, but nothing worked. any thoughts? thanks joey - vectorworks 2012

hi Is there a way to select all the different texts on a layer and change it into a one simple letter? In the "find and replace text" there an option "replace all selected text" but I cant find the way to work with it Im using Vectorworks 2012 thanks

Hi kevin, thanks I tried using the Part drop-down tool, but it didnt do anything to the texture..I built simple cubes and tried that tool.. Im pretty sure it is because of my version of VW (2010)

Hi mike, .. I tried converting it to mesh but when I went inside the group, VW didnt let me change the texture of the selected surface... but I guess that the reason is because im using VW 2010... Using the extract tool worked well thanks!

Hi Peter.. even when you create a viewport in a sheet, the local mapping changes. Hope they fix this soon..

Hi, in VW2012 SP 5, I've being having trouble using the mapping tool. After using the nudge tool to move the hatch where I want it to be, it returns to the same point it was when I chose the hatch.. how do I lock the position of my hatch?

Hi, I think there should be a palette for editing options for sheets... like if you want to automaticly place a viewport on the center of the page.. Or if you want to add another page on one of your sheet layers without disturbing the location of the other viewports on that sheet..(everytime I add another page to the sheet layer I have to move my sheet or the viewports) thanksss

Go to VectorWorks preferences and enable it inside the "interactive" window

I think there should be an option to remove all wall breaks with a simple command or click at a wall. joey

Hi ..Im new at using the spread sheets option. Im trying to find the formula to count the total length of the interior and exterior sides of the walls in a plan..( to count the total lenght of the floor panels on the walls..) In that formula I have to substract all the lenghts of door openings too.. Also.. I want to calculate the total area of wall surfaces subtracting all the opening areas.. to count the amount of wall paint. I've try the formulas given at the VW spread sheets option, but none seems to give the result im looking..Is there a tutorial that can give me the tools to write any formula I want? thanks joey
