  1. Hello, I recently replaced my old MacBook with a MacBook Pro and all my files and software were automatically transferred over to the MacBook Pro. All of my programs and applications appear to be working properly except for Vectorworks. When I launched VW Landmark, most of the icons in the toolbars appear as red X's and some aren't working. Also, rendering isn't working for any isometric views. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? Does anyone have any idea what I should do? I emailed VW yesterday but haven't heard back from anyone. Thanks in advance! Elena Vectoworks Landmark 2012 MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.4 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
  2. Peter, Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, it didn't solve my problem. For some reason, the 1:1 layerr line up just fine with the 1/4" layer on the screen. When I change the scale of the 1:1 layer to 1/4", then it becomes very tiny. I don't really understand what's going on. When I go to viewport, this is not the case. The 1:1 layer and the 1/4" layers are at different scales. Any other suggestions? I'd be happy to send you the file. I'd really like to understand what I did wrong so that I don't repeat it. And I need to correct this because I need to generate some drawings from this file. Thank you. Best regards, Elena Rivera Landscape Designer Mac OS X 10.6.8 Vectorworks Landmark 2012
  3. Here's the problem I'm having: All the layers except two are in the 1/4" scale. The other two, which are the newest layers, are in 1:1 scale. When I change the scale for these two layers to 1/4", to match the rest, they become very, very small in comparison to the rest of the drawing. What did I do wrong? How do I correct it? Thanks! Elena
  4. Michael, The problem is that some layers are at a different scale and I can't seem to get the new layers on the same scale as the rest of the drawing. When I change one, the other ones change, too. ER
  5. Hello, I added information to a VW drawing but when I create a viewport the new data is on a different scale from the rest of the drawing. The rest of the drawing is 1/4" and the new portion is 1:1. I tried changing the scale of the new layers/classes, but it's still not working properly. I'm rather lost and need to create a PDF for tomorrow morning. Can anyone help? I hope what I've written makes enough sense! Thank you! Elena
  6. When I change it, I get a message that the plant's 2D and 3D graphics are corrupt and have been replaced with a 2D and 3D loci. How do I avoid this?
  7. I have been working with the object info, resource browser and navigation palettes floating and on autohide. But for some reason the navigation won't unhide when I hover over the bar. Any suggestions? Thank you.
  8. The tag line to the plant name is showing up in all plant types, but the line BETWEEN the plants within a group. Is there a setting that I need to change?
  9. I've been placing plant objects and for some reason some of the plant tags are in gray and others in black. I don't see why this is happening and can't seem to correct it. Please help.
  10. Thank you Tamsin and Ozzie! Luckily I had entered unique information in one field and so I was able to extract the plants I added and saved them as a plant list. Now I can access them in Landmark. So much to learn! Thanks again!
  11. I imported close to 200 plants from an Excel spreadsheet. I see them in the VW plant database in FileMaker Pro, but when I'm working on a design and try the Edit Plant Definition and "Get Plant Data", the plants that I added don't show up. In fact only about 4400 of the 5100 plants from the database show up when I'm trying to place plants. Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong? Thank you. Elena
