  1. I have 2 monitors and was running Vectorworks/Spotlight/Renderworks 8.5 and when I would open the program each time, it would remember the location of the items on the screen. (example: drawing and tools on the left monitor and pallettes on the right monitor) I upgraded everything to 9.0 and now whenever I open Vectorworks, I have to reposition all of the pallets, as they are halfway between the 2 monitors Does anybody have a fix for this? Thanks Lonnie
  2. Mike I have read and performed your instructions below and the installation says that it is complete but when I open Vectorworks Spotlight 9, there is not sign of Renderworks. It never even asks for a serial #. Any other ideas. Thanks Lonnie quote: Originally posted by MikeB: What exactly is it not doing. Is the "Final Renderworks" mode available or greyed out. Do you have the option to create new textures. Be sure you have Renderworks installed properly. I use a windows machine at home and I have to say the installation procedure is a little confusing. You need to make sure you install Renderworks inside your VW9 folder for all the pieces to be put in the right place for Renderworks to operate. Also install the newest versions of QuickTime (from Apple) and Open GL (on the VW installation disk as a seperate installation) If you have RW installed properly, the phrase "RENDERWORKS INSTALLED" should appeare on the splash screen when you lauch the program Good Luck
  3. Brian I do have Renderworks. How do I create custom texture and do you know why there is nothing in the manuals about it. Is there a special manual for Renderworks itself? Thanks Lonnie quote: Originally posted by Brian O: Without RenderWorks the only way to use images in VectorWorks is as a 2D object. https://secure.nemetschek.net/order/rw_sale.html I can't speak for MikeB, but I have seen several pieces of his work and it is outstanding. His firm uses RenderWorks and PhotoShop to create some very nice pieces.
  4. How do you create custom textures. There is nothing in the manuals on textures.
  5. quote: Originally posted by MikeB: Make sure your object has a solid fill. Mike Thank you, that worked well. One more question if you can. I cannot find any information on how to create custom textures. I have pictures that I need to use as textures and have tried importing them into a drawing and creating them as symbols but it does not work and the manual does not tell me. Do you know how to do this? Thanks Lonnie
  6. I am working in a 3D drawing and when I try to apply textures they will not display when rendered. If I try the exact same actions on a 3D object in a new file, it works perfectly. Any ideas
  7. Bruce I do not know any other way to explain it, is it possible to just e-mail you the file, so you can see it? Thanks Lonnie Alcaraz quote: Originally posted by Bruce Ferguson: Could you explain a little more what you mean by "a ghost image of that old class appears on the "none" class" Thanks,
  8. I am using Vectorworks 8.5 and when I 'remove' classes, a ghost image of that old class appears on the "none" class How do I get rif of it?
