  1. I'm sorry but I don't understand. I tried coping and saving my workspace as different names and saving the pallet positions in that workspace but no joy. When I went back and forth the pallets didn't go back to their correct positions. Thanks for your help on this.
  2. Is it possible to save and recall pallet positions in a multi monitor setup? It's annoying to have to reset pallet positions and sizes every time I go from a single monitor setup to a 2 or 3 monitor setup. Thanks
  3. Thanks, I see the double click option, now. I was hoping there might be something like: "control/Q"- invokes edit annotation screen "control/w"- invokes edit design layer screen "control/e"- invokes edit crop screen If one doesn't exist I guess I could make it with quick keys.
  4. Is there a short cut key combo for editing either a viewport design layer, crop or annotation ect? Thanks
  5. I have a drawing with duplicate symbols (on top of each other) on the same layer and class. Is it possible to delete the duplications and leave the original or just one copy? Except one at a time? Thanks, Ron
  6. Thanks, That's what I needed. Although a shortcut key to do a simple toggle layers all on and back would be nice. Perhaps vw.2013 ???
  7. I find myself occasionally working in other peoples drawings and would like to be able to temporarily toggle on all layers and classes, to see whats there. Then toggle back to the previous class/layer settings. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.
  8. Unless I'm looking at it wrong (which is possible, I'm new to VW) the header I was looking for is not in the symbols. It's only instruments. The file is under technical data/illustrations/Dimensions 2D, EC series triple header (DWG) (Rev. A) My work around was to just rescale it in Modify/scale objects. Then rescaling to a known dimension. Sorry if this seems like a simple solution but perhaps other new user like me might not know about that command. I was just surprised that the import doesn't come into Vectorworks in proper scale. It's the first time I've imported a DWG and wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly.
  9. The file I'm importing is here. http://www.martin.com/product/resource.asp?prod=ec-10 the 2d triple header DXW
  10. Thanks for this posting. I just imported an DWG and I get a measurement of exactly 1/2 the stated measurement in the drawing. I ticked"set VW units to match and still get exactly 1/2 scale measurements vs. the stated measurement. Help would be appreciated. Thanks,
  11. I'm new to VW and was just confronted with the really large witness arrows when I changed scale on the view port. Why does this happen and is it possible the have the witness arrows stay in scale with the drawing? I can see producing a drawing for sheet size output as well as needing to print an 8.5x11 of the same drawing. I would hate to have the witness arrows continuing to change size on me. Or am I missing something basic here? (I admit I'm just stating to understand viewports) Thanks
