  1. I am having the same problem.... very irritating. But of course VWX will not fix it for us? They will force us to upgrade to VW 2018..... eeek. If anyone finds a solution (maybe a setting somewhere?) then PLEASE let us know.
  2. Some advice please. In Vwx architect (2014 or 2017) - can one copy numerical text in a way that the number increases in value each time you copy it? Say, for example you are numbering grid lines or stair risers or windows.... surely one does not have to copy the text and then go back to edit each one.... so I mean, how does one copy "1", so that each time you copy it, it becomes 2,3,4..... etc. Microstation had this function and it saves a load of time! Thanks All! !
  3. Okay - so one is forced to learn. I just created my own hatch which I want. thanks for your help guys. Joe
  4. thanks guys. I will check out attribute mapping.... not that I know what that is... ;-(. I would use hatches, but I do not have one which is just a simple set of parallel lines - like one would want to indicate timber decking or roof sheets on plan? or am I missing something?
  5. when I rotate a viewport in a sheet layer, the pattern does not rotate. any suggestions how to rectify this? thanks
  6. Just upgraded to a new macbook with retina display.. VWX architect 2014 is now a bit "fuzzy" - i.e. lines and text are not crisp, etc. Think there might be a screen resolution setting or something I am missing? I have downloaded SP5.... so my vwx is up to date. Can anyone help? Joe from South Africa
  7. Thanks Mar. That is where I have been looking, but there are very few! Go well, and thanks again for your advice.
  8. I am new to VW. I do not see many tree or people or car symbols available. Am I looking in the wrong place or do they expect us to buy plug-ins for more symbols? What I really need at the moment is more line drawings of trees and shrubs on plan and elevation. thanks Joe
  9. Thanks Benson. I was hoping there was a more obvious step that I was missing...seems at the mo that making a viewport is the easiest. But thanks again for your advice. Joe
  10. Hey Mar. THANKS SO MUCH! Perhaps you can also answer this one... Is it possible to print to a certain scale (e.g. directly to a small printer on A4 (e.g.) without setting up a sheet layer with a viewport, etc. One occasionally just wants to quickly print a portion of a design layer to work on it by hand or for a quick check. (you might notice that I am pretty new to VW!!) thanks Joe
  11. IN VW ARCHITECT; I really only use line weights 1-20. These print well, but is there a setting with which one can control / set how the line weights appear on the screen? Lines 2-14 all appear the same thickness on the screen which makes it a bit difficult to see at a glance which class one is in while drawing. Any advice? thanks, Joe
