INTERESTING to find this issue in VW as I am having the same problem in MC 7.03 on a PowerMac G3/400 with 64MB allocated to the application. At 100% I can view the floor plan just fine, once I zoom in to 200% (a scale where I can actually wortk on it) parts of the object dissappear. The annoying part is that this is not a consistent problem, but only with certain parts of the file? Does anyone have any suggestions on what is required of me to aleviate the problem. Would allocating more memmory to MC help?

I have to agree with Archen. The need to create elvations is rudimenttary to any technical drawing package. I would assume to most of you it's a oiece of cake. It sounds like I might be wrong and often people go through variuous convultions in order to create an elevation. It would be GREAT if one could simply do a cut&paste from a rendered 3D model, hidden line drawing, into a 2-D elevation drawing, and then move these vies around as objects WITHOUT HAVING TO GO THROUGH MAJOR CONTORTIONS - or learning MiniPascal. Or perhaps ther is such a technique already. I just haven't found it documented anywhere.

"unlock it" - How does one unlock a link without deleting the layer fromh the file?" CREATE LINK tool is easy to find, but unlocking/removing links has me baffled. The Manual (MiniCAD 7.03--R416) talks about unlocking objects but says nothing about layers. THANKS!

I'm running MiniCAD 7.03. How does one align layer views? Although all layers are still aligned in the model view, once viewed as stacked layers ie in PLAN VIEW/TOP VIEW, layers are out of alignment. It is as though the origin of each layer has shifted hence throwing subsequent layers out of alignment. The ALIGN LAYER VIEWS command appears to have no effect, other than to put all layers into same projection view as the active layer. I think that if I can once again re-align the origins of each layers, I should be able to have the layers in alignment. How do I do that? All help is appreciated.
btw - is anyone aware of any MiniCAD Users Goups out there?

When I view my house model in Model view, on the model layer, all layers apear as tehy should - ie in perfect alignment one above the other. However this alignment breaks down when I try to view layers multiple layers simultaneously eg - isometric view of exterior walls and roof framing. Both layers appear to be occupying the same space, ie trusses and beams sit at floor joist height. Is there a way I can align the layers so I can work on them while being able to see the relative position of each layers in relation to the other layers, or do I have to create a seperate linked model layer: roof and walls, floor joists and foundations, etc.? (eg I wish to draw a saddle/beam connection which requires me to be able to view roof beams and walls in plan and in section, and in proper alignment.) Idealy I want to be able to work on the active layer while being able to view the other layers in proper alignment to other components of the model. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The simpler the better.

I am finding that the tape measure only gives accurate measurements in orthographic projection: front, rear, plan, side and bottom views, but gives incorrect readings in isometric. Is there a way the tape measure can be used to measure the modelin isometric, in order to then work accurately with these dimensions in the active layers comprising the model? At the moment I can only measure the model in orthographic projection in order to get any meaningfull dimensions from the model. (For instance Form-Z allows one to measure a model in S-D space.)

Is VW Architect 9.5 compatible with Mac OS Panther?
I seem to be getting a lot of crashes when using VW Architect with Panter - perhaps it's time to upgrade once again?
I am running Panter on PowerMac G3/400 with OSX 10.3.9. I've just installd a new HDwith OSX on it and VW architect is oinstalled on this drive. After trying for two or more weeks, I cannot seem to get a stable system.
