No sure if that is going to accomplish the same thing.... I need access to all of the objects from the same drawing file.

I have two floor plans, both created as separate drawing files. I need to insert one plan on top of the other to create one drawing, while maintaining of the layer names and characteristics of the plans as they were prior to merging the two. Is there any way this can be done?
