Resolve Note Conflict Dialogue Box. I am having a similar problem with the Resolve Note Conflict Dialogue Box. While I kind of concur with some of the findings above, I might not use such harsh language. :-) Does anybody know what causes this box to appear and how to resolve it? Is this a bug? What is happening when this dialogue box appears? If I am the only person working on this project, who or what is changing it? Thx

Hmmm. I thought I did this right. Pat I took your code, and copied it to a txt file. Then I tried to import the script. However I get an error message. Marissa, your Marionette node, however, did the trick. I was able to select lines greater than .001" and less than .5" and then delete them. Wound deleting tens of thousands of objects without changing the appearance of my equipment plan, reducing the file size from over 130MB to about 30MB. Thank you!

Apologies if this was already asked. I only skimmed through all the posts and responses. Does this function work with flattened design layer viewports?

Is there a way to select lines of a certain length range. I have an equipment background with tens of thousands of tiny lines, which I would very much like to delete from my file. For example, one piece of equipment has over 100000 objects.. I've already deleted circles and arcs. As I don't need that much detail. Needless to say it is slowing down my files.

Sigh... Is there any way to make this program more consistent?

Now I see. I have to "display planar objects" selected and it shows up. The text doesn't mirror or adjust. Also the text has to be in front of the object. I.e. it wont show up through an object even if the object is set to be invisible. As long as I know the rules, this can be useful. Thanks for the help!! P.S. I see the problem. The text for some reason shows up in a Sheet Viewport, but not a flattened design layer viewport.

That's kind of what i feared. But I would argue that extruded 3d objects that look like text are not 3d editable text. :-) Thanks for your help!

I am working on a drawing where it would be helpful to have text objects placed in 3d space show up in hidden line section/elevation views. As far as I can see, text is a 2d type of object that doesn't show up in section/elevation views, which kind of confounded me.... How are people dealing with this? Is there a tool I am missing or have overlooked, or is this a missing functionality in the VW program? Searching 3d text in the forum didn't yield much in the way of results.

I am having the same problem as well. VW 2017 SP4. Grr.

I insert windows as openings/cased openings to model the opening. And manually place curtain-wall walls (not inserted) into the openings). This gives you the most amount of control over where things go. At corners, I make corner windows. I find it mindbogglingly, pull-your-hair-out, super-duper frustrating that the curtain wall tool (as designed) does not allow you to do something so simple and so needed within everyday commercial architectural practice. Thanks for letting me rant! :-)

My workaround: I made one space with multiple label configurations that could be controlled via classes. Imagine copying your second label into the first, and then assigning classes to each so that they turn on and off via class settings in the viewport dialogue box. Does that make sense? Not ideal but it worked.

Not sure what version of VW you are running, but Multiple space labels was doing something similar in VW2017 SP3. Upgrading to SP4 seems to have helped, but I haven't worked with it in depth, so I am not sure it is fully functional.

Forum protocol question.... Is it better to bump unanswered post to the front of the line, or leave them unanswered? The old website used to have a link that highlighted unanswered posts. Is there some tracking mechanism that forum moderators use to track them? Or after a certain amount of time should we send reminders?

In the Notes Manager Keynotes List dialogue box there is a column called Relative Path. I recently noticed that this can be checked or unchecked. What is it and what does it do? I couldn't find any documentation on it nor anything in the forums discussing its functionality (at least as far as I was able to quickly search). Does anyone know anything about it.

I'm so confused!!! This should be easy. BIM 101. But it's not. :-) It's like you need a BIM PhD (or a degree in computer science) to figure this one out. :-) Is the list pulling from the Layer Sheet Names and Numbers or From the Title Block? Is there any documentation as to how it is supposed to work? I tried pulling in Wes's Worksheet, and tailoring it to our TB Record format. I tried creating my own report. All to no avail. Manual drawing list here we go!

Spaces also need to have dimensional tolerances that can be separate from global unit tolerances.

Ok I figured out what the problem is. However I cannot figure out why VW behaves this way. I discovered that if you move a tag that has a finish or a calculation associated with it, you have to check and uncheck either "On Room Finish Schedule" or "Calculate Room Dimensions" for the tag to reappear. Ugh. I also noticed that checking or unchecking Space Label 1 will result in Space Label 2 and 3 from disappearing from your Object Info Palette. Multiple clicks on Space Label 1 Enables the others again. This functionality seems glitchy at best, and definitely not stable enough to be usable. Has anybody else experienced this? Hi Wes, I tried these instructions and got everything set up, but when I move one of the tags, the multiple space tags disappear and disappear from my object info pallette. What am I doing wrong or is this a bug?

Is there a way to assign all the door ID Tags to a given class at once, or do you have to go through each door manually and select the class? It would be great if there was a trick to do this easily/globally! Sometimes I have files where some of the doors are assigned to the door class, and I have to manually change things.

From the sounds of the crickets chirping in this thread, I guess this unexpected behavior is a bug. How can we submit?
