So I've imported a PDF file which included layers (the pdf file has layers) All is well in the drawing until I export the file back to a printed page. Suddenly all the pdf layers print. (which is sad as I'd rather they didn't!) Drawing was due to the FM last week so I'm in a little bind here. Still running VW 2009. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks,

VW 2009. I've downloaded a couple .dwg files from a manufacturer's site (new speakers) and imported them as 3D symbols. Of course they appear as line drawings so I then "composed" them to create surfaces. The symbols look great and even have all the internal details and branding in them which is cool and all. The problem is that they consist of 20,000+ polygons. It's a huge symbol particularly as a speaker that I use in multiples. Is there any way, other then simply the destructive deleting of things, to combine polygons together to reduce the file size for the symbol? Thanks,

So that's great for the 2d but now I've lost the 3d when I render it! Should I copy/paste the objects before converting?

Win xp VW 2009. I've created a 3d/2d hybrid symbol and when I'm in top/plan view the 3d items are not drawn. I assume this is because they have no 2d equal. Is there a fast way to fix that or do I need to draw the 2d version over the top of everything?

I've got a project due this afternoon and I need a symbol of a video camera on a tripod. Does anyone know where I can get one or if there is a symbol pack I can purchase which includes A/V items such as a camera?
