  1. With 3D polygons, there is no way of adjusting the normals besides flipping them manually. The best option is going to be creating NURBS surfaces in these areas so you can have direct control over the normals direction.
  2. @mjm @Altivec After hours of research, I found that if we uncheck "smooth terrain" the texture applies well above! Could you test and send me your result?
  3. OH my God!!! Since the update to SP2, there is no longer any way to see the grass up !! I use the terrain modeler every day and the textured areas of grass grow down! Impossible to present this to the client! Could you test on your machines and give me a feedback please? Sans Titre3.vwx
  4. The latest in French : 2020 SP1.1. The proble appears for the first time I Think in 2018 Yes, sorry, i have 3Dpoly 🙂 . I've tried to reverse the normal without success....
  5. Hello, In some files, when I apply a grass texture on a polyline, the grass appears under the polyline. Not all grass texture because some of them are good. Sometimes, on my PC everything is ok and with the same file on vectorworks Cloud, it send me a pdf file with errors, see image bellow... On the image we see the "roots" of each grass. Is somebody have the same problem?
  6. Hello, Do you know a script to sort resources in folders type in one clic? Worksheets in worksheet folder, textures into texture folder etc. Have a good day! Nico
  7. Hello, I think Image props are good for long distance plants, but for details they are not so realistic. I prefer 3D plant. Of course, they increase the file size but result is far better. For the render time, it's easy to play with setting to have very beautifull images in less time. Or use the Vw Cloud! In addition, free plant are sometimes good but for some money, I've purchased some plants. For example, choose Low-poly, they are optimised with lower file size. For example : https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models?keywords=low+plant+poly&suggested=1
  8. Hello, Maybe this one? Stone Wall.vwx
  9. Oh! Rendu gravier test.vwx
  10. Here are some cool tutorials !
  11. Wonderfull! I can't wait to see that! :-)
  12. Hello Because the forum has already helped me a lot, I share today some textures and objects (rocks). I think it would be a good idea to create a category for good quality resources to share, as for marionette. Have a good day! Jab_be Scene rochers.zip

    3D plants

    Hello, Maybe Xfrog? http://xfrog.com/category/libraries.html
  14. Magic! I didn't noticed differents iterations on OIP between both copies. I'ts so simple! Thanks!
  15. Cool! You gave me the start point I wanted! Now I understand. To be sure : For the second form, more organic, did you started from a sphere Subdivion primitive ? Thank you!
  16. Hello, I never used subdivision tool. Now I think it's the best way to create an organic hedge.. The start shape is in the file attached. I would like to create a solid similar to the image below. It seems to be simple but I can't create this. Or Subdivision is not the best way?? And I'm not a beginner in VW... :-) Thanks for help! 17. Hello, It's my problem too : realistic plants! Image props are good only for background. VB visual plants are good but there are not enough species. As a landscape designer I need specific species, that's why i use some Xfrog or Evermotion plants. When i import .obj file from Xfrog or Evermotion, I adjust the smoothing of the mesh. It decrease the file size at 50% or more sometimes. Of course some branch are not so beautiful but it's good enough for un beautiful scene. You can use the command "Simplify mesh" after import. It's the same result. Look at my image : all plant exept the Acer (red ones) are Xfrog plants. Smoothing mesch at 50°.

    See Appendix?

Okay... At the top of forum page. I've never seen the link before. http://developer.vectorworks.net/index.php/VS:Function_Reference_Appendix

    See Appendix?

Hello, I often see on node description "See appendix for information". What is "appendix" exactly? Thanks!
  22. Hello, I'm searching a way to connect some 360°images. The idea is to open a 3D panorama and clicking on a link to another images etc. To navigate in the project. I think a need another external software to do this but wich one? Thanks!
Very usefull! Thank you very much!
  23. Cool! Is it possible to attach the final file? Tkanks!
