    When you Export or Publish to PDF there is an option for "Export whole printable range as one page". This will get you a single page PDF using your 36x24 paper size.

     

    Or if you are sending the VWX file for commercial printing, they will change the printer to their larger printer/paper size and it will not matter.

     

    If the page breaks bother you then uncheck the Show Page Breaks box in the Page Setup dialog box.

    I need to lay out my drawings on a 36 x 24 paper.

    I realize that my printer will print 11 x 17 maximum and will have the 36 x 24 commercially printed.

    How do I set my drawing size? when I select

    PAGE SETUP and enter 1 page horizontal / 1 page vertical

    and the click Chose size unavailable in printer setupUS Arch D

    Width 36 / Height 24

    The pages show 2.1176 horizontal and 2.1818 vertica

    Everyone on this link is a pro! Sorry to ask a newbie question.

    All my drawings have been 11 x 17 to fir my printer.

    I now am require to produce drawings on 36 x 24.

    When I try to set the drawing size, it shows up as 4 separate pages.

    How do I set the drawing as one page?

    Have worked all day on drawings. Saved every 15 minutes. used separate layers. imported drawings and specifications. 

    Stopped for a moment, checked emails. went back to my drawings and NOTHING IS THERE! when I move mouse over the drawing there is a vague outline of what I've drawn but noting is really visible. Can anyone please help?

    Have worked on Vectorworks my entire career since it was MINICAD! GREAT app, BUT. Now that I'm retired, don't want to spend over $4,000 on  the current app that will work on my new computer. Last was Vectorworks 2016 which does not work on OS 11.6 mac. Anyone know of a program that will allow me to READ only some of my past projects. Don't need or want to make changes, just view some of the details/drawings.

    layers developed in different scales are no longer visible

    (title sheet 1:1 scale, Plan view 3/8) It just stopped working.

    any ideas?

    Suddenly I have no text, no dimensions, no labels.

    Dimension & text classes are shown as visible, but when I insert text, nothing shows up.

    Dimension lines are visible but no text dimensions

    I'm working on OS10.6.4

    Vectorworks 2010

    ...any ideas?

    Thank you Ray, Mike and Peter.

    I reset the origin, deleted objects WAY out of the active layer,

    and it all went well.

    I've been working on Vectorworks since it was Minicad 4

    and learned more today that ever before.

    Thank you fro sharing your knowledge and experience.

    Since "upgrading" my MAC to Snow Leopard &

    installing VW2010 from VW12.5, I've had nothing but problems when attempting to render.

    First, the system crashed.

    After some sage advice from GRANT PD (thank you Grant)

    I discovered a corrupt piece of my drawing and replaced it.

    I was then able to FAST RENDER.

    BUT

    when trying to FINAL RENDER, it is SLOW SLOW SLOW.

    When I try to FORCE QUIT VW is "not responding".

    Anyone else working on MACOS6 with VW 2010?

    I'm even wondering if my VW program is faulty.

    NEW PROBLEM

    FAST RENDER worked fine, but slow.

    FINAL RENDER has now been 2 hours

    and is about 1/8 complete.

    This is not an extremely complex drawings.

    I thought that OS 10.6 with VW 2010

    would be quick and productive!!!

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
