If your friend already uses VW the transition would be easier. I took a pretty deep dive into Mozaik and felt very limited by the work environment. Contact @Tom Pearce for sales in the USA. I’ve attached some random pictures of a sliding door that needed stiffening rods because, well it does. I duplicated the original door, threw in some boring and dados, and sent it out to the CNC. Worked great.

Yes interested. I waited to update to 2023 until the Megabits Quantum CAD plug-in was done. I’m really happy with the improvements for 2023. The addition of Fittings to the Cabinetmaker is very helpful. I update through Tom Pearce/ Coronal Studio here in the USA.

So in 2023 Resource Manager-Sliders Wooden Drawer there is no folder for side mount slides. The XG Resources still include all the data for Accuride slides. How hard would it be to get Symbol/PLO? Does Accuride supply a 3d model Extragroup can use?

This has been an issue for a while. In the OIP there is an option for dimensions: overall or carcass. I would like to see the cabinet box depth respond according to these settings but it currently does not. If the Overall setting included the face and hinge spacing it would really help workflow.

Hi I've been looking at integrated toe kicks for a while. The new sides to floor/ notch settings are making it a real option. I may just set up a saved set that is .5mm heavier to put my cuts in the correct location without edging. I sent this test cabinet to Enroute to see how the process would output. It should reduce the number of parts and operations for us.

I have been working with the plinth tool using side to bottom setting to create integrated toe kicks. When I output to Enroute it is showing the edge banding wrapping the toe kick recesses. Is there any way to change this? Thanks.

Still some bug in Framed Fronts. I separate the box and do left door and right door. I can't get door triangles on framed fronts either.

That shaker profile still does not seem to be working correctly.

Ash Go to your XG Resources folder and edit the data there. Program Files>Vectorworks 2021>Interiorcad>xg>XG Resources>Materials. Then in interiorcad go to settings, preferences, database, and chose the table to be updated ie boards, edgebandings, etc. I'm still working out how to edit door profiles in the latest version.test1.vwx

Hi I had the basic profile set already. I will duplicate and edit one of them.

I put a Classic shaker profile drawing file in our Dropbox folder.

Whats the process for modifying/ creating new profiles? I have a standard shaker style and rail profile I need to make for my profiles folder. Do I need to modify both profile and counter profile? The Leitz profiles are complex with the radius eased edges. Should I start fresh?

I have this working, but could use advice on modifying.

So things are improving with the new InteriorCAD Cabinetmaker. Scribes are working well. Framed fronts are working also. The face frame tool has not made it into the New Cabinetmaker yet, but it is coming soon. I am in the process of migrating to 2021 from 2019 Classic. The new Cabinetmaker has been missing necessary features while in development the last 4-5 years. I think it has led to confusion around what the software can do.

I am trying to set up this feature as well. It's close...

Hey yeah! I’m nesting my parts in Enroute. The parts need to get tool path figured out, so might as well do it all in post processor. Are you doing the CNC work, or is it being sub’d out?

Stephan I am always happy to give feedback on InteriorCAD. The top three features I need to switch over to the new cabinetmaker are a qualified mortise and tenon for nested based CNC, framed fronts, and face frames. I would also like to see a nested based dovetail drawer connector option. Since shifting to nested based construction cabinets sides that run to the floor and are notched have become very attractive. I have not seen this option in the new plinth tool. Grain Matching is also very important. There are other items for the wish list, but this is a good start. You might know by now I have been working with Megabits to set up their Quantum plugin for the Classic cabinetmaker. I could not wait for Extragroup to come out with a solution. It would be great if you would bring on some of the features they have developed. I am sending my DXF files to Enroute to nest and create TAP files for WinCNC. Lets continue to work on this.

While I know this is an old thread I wanted to update my progress. I am now using Vectorworks and InteriorCAD 2018 running on Windows to produce files for my new CNC. It took a bit of training, but I am having great success with it. The new cabinetmaker still has some areas that need to be completed, so I am using the Classic version.

Hey, I was still using 2014 on a Mac, but underwent a big shift towards CNC this fall. I moved to a Windows system and am able to use InteriorCAD 2017. I have not updated to 2018 quite yet. I’m waiting for some aspects of my system to be cleared for bugs. I like my Mac better, but Enroute is PC only. I can use Classic and new cabinet maker on Windows. It was a tough decision, but think it is the best for my workflow going forward. I’m always glad to see other Icad user.

John Ive been using v2014 as well, but have also kept Vectorworks and iCAD up to date. There are still some features that are not finished. Frame and panel faces and face frames are not available yet, so I can't use it. I really like where the software is going, but waiting 3-4 years for a working version is not good. I am trying Mozaik hoping to get CNC ready. If ExtraGroup could finish the rebuild I would rather stay with iCAD. I'm not sure if the Windows version maintains backward compatibility for some of these features.

Hi, I'll chime in. I have been waiting a long time for a functioning version of InteriorCAD. I'm currently running my shop with 2014, but have paid for 2015 and 2016. Why has it taken so long to make this upgrade? There are many things I like about my system, but our production really needs to improve. I'd love to have a dedicated forum.

I wanted to give a shout out to Bill and Brendan at Megabits for helping me with setting up my door swing triangles. The controls are located in the XG Resources/Configurations/Miscellaneous. That was only a small part of what we covered, but was a really helpful change to my workflow. It is great to see more of the community here.
