I'm getting these unwanted lines in my hidden line render, because of floor stacks. Is there a setting I can fiddle with to change this?

[sketchup model in top/ plan]

In the image attached I layered multiple viewports and had them on different render styles.

1. floor plan viewport with chair turned off

2 viewport with just the chair (for the chair the top is hidden line render with smoothing angle and open gl for the bottom. )

 

long process and can cause coordination problems?

I imported a sketchup model into VW.

When I look at top / plan view the skup model doesnt render nicely. Any advice on how to go about this? I tried auto hybrid and it didnt work. 

I also tried converting a copy to polygon but same result.

I did some overrides on layers. Drawing looking much better.

I modeled in 3d and now trying to get 2d views. The line weight doesn't look so great.

Is there anything I'm missing? or do I re-draw in sheet layer?

I found out that my hatches did not have a associated surface hatch to it and that it only works for hatches and not on tiles.

Ceiling-Main class controls the visibility of wall breaks in door and windows(?)

So for a floor plan you want Sills visible and Ceiling-Main invisible.

For a ceiling plan you want Sill invisible and Ceiling-Main visible.

Depending on how you structure your drawing and what it contains there are probably other classes you will want to change the visibility of also.

not a lot of VW tutorial how to get ceiling plan from a room model. Can some of our pros help me out?

I have 3d walls drawn. I used the wall projections tool found inside AEC to do this.

Somehow, the corner condition looks strange. Any idea how to get a clean one?

Hi Fellow vectorworkers,

I'm on 2014. tried finding the answer to this but its been dragging me. Will appreciate the help.

The class texture attribute on a 3d object doesnt show in top/plan view. whats the work around on this? The round table and the meeting table share the same class texture. Texture shows in the round table (VW resource) and not on the extruded geometry.
