  1. Here is an update on my earlier post. After trashing my preferences the program started, however with one minor error. On startup, I now receive an error regarding the Vision Library not being installed on the machine.
  2. My installation of VWX 2020 crashes on launch in my Catalina installation. I am current with SP5. The machine is a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) running a 3.1 GHz Quad Core i7, 16 GB Ram and GPU 4GB Radeon Pro 560 + Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB. I have repaired the VWX installation (run from the installer app - 101 files repaired). Any help would be appreciated. The application ran on this machine prior to my upgrading to Catalina.
  3. THAT is what is happening. Importing as a Bitmap gives me what I am looking for (tracing sketches and research). Thank you for clarifying this process. Kindest regards, Brian
  4. Hello, I am having a similar issue on 2019. There is absolutely no effective image import after going through the prompts. I am on a Mac 10.13.6 on a Mac Pro 2013 running Vectorworks Spotlight 2019 with service pack 4. I also feel like this functionality disappeared all of a sudden. I have restarted the machine. I am not importing I have tried PNG and JPG options and I get the same result. I am not importing large file sizes (most are under 1mb). There is no error message. There is no image import. I am covering by converting image files to pdf, and then importing the pdfs. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Brian
  5. Problem Fixed! Restarting did the trick. Thank you all
  6. Good afternoon, I am slowly working my way into 2019, and I am having a problem with the selection marquee selecting objects that are not completely bound by the marquee. I understand this functionality to be optional using the Alt/Option key on a Mac. I am experiencing this as an automatic selection behavior and I can't find a preference to turn this off. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
  7. rDesign: Saving to PDF does provide an effective print copy. However, with larger publication sets, that sheet-by-sheet process will become cumbersome as well. Art V: My Tekton fonts have .otf file type suffixes. And yes, the centered version is a copy of the text, center justified. Also, I work between a Mac Pro and a Macbook Pro. Both machines produce the error. Thanks~ B
  8. Good day, I have recently noticed that my Tekton Pro font, when either exported or published to pdf, and when the text has been left-justified, then the pdf text will have little rectangles with crossed lines introduced to the text block. Take a look at the attached pdf for a visual. I have also included the vectorworks file. After checking through the kbase conversations, I hadn't landed on a specific statement about support for open type fonts in recent years. There were some posts about ten years ago. My hunch is that something changed with the recent 2018 version, or one of the subsequent service packs as I had no previous problems with this font in 2017. I would like to be able to export to pdf, and then have my fonts available for last minute editing by Acrobat DC. And yes, I can rasterize the text blocks just fine without any incident. And I have deleted and reinstalled the font on my mac prior to reaching out to this forum. Any insights will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian ireland_font_test_180426.vwx ireland font test 180426_8.pdf
