  1. May not be the best title but not sure how to describe.

On screen in VW my plan (sheet layer) appears as shown below in the first image.

Once published to PDF it appears as shown in the second image.

Have tried comparing all the viewport, export, publish, print settings with a working file, but for the life of me can't find the fix.

    Any ideas?

  2. Can someone advise if this is a bug or not.

Have numerous callout notes in a job.

Used the "find replace text" tool to alter a piece of text.

Get pop up that 5 instances have been found and changed.

Go to the notes and at a glimpse all appears well.

Only just found if I double click on these callout notes that the text reverts back to the original.

Pretty massive issue when documenting a build.

  3. I have a vwx file that has several referenced viewports, each ref VP looks at a single design layer in separate VW files.

In each of the separate vwx files have turned on all classes to ensure theres no stray objects above or below the envelope of the building.

When the ref VPs are selected the selection box is about 3 times bigger than the building it is showing, causing numerous overlaps.

Is there a way change this selection size?

Unable to crop the VPs due to the odd behaviour that occurs when viewing the VPs any any view other than top/plan.

    Any ideas?

  4. Hi Mark

Yeah the "new slab" style is working correctly and the others are not.

For the life of me can't figure out what the difference is that's causing it.

To create, I drew a rectangle, selected create slab, duplicated 4 times, then selected each one and changed slab style using the resource manager.

I can't remember the order I created the actual slab styles themselves, but I suspect I created one, then duplicated and edited and so on.

  5. I'm having an issue with class overrides on a set of viewports.

I have a few different slab styles, all of which are on the same class, some of the components are set to be on other classes, however the components in questions are set to object class.

I have done a class override to make a class green, only one of the slab styles changes, the others stay unaltered.

Im sure it's an obvious fix but I am struggling to find what it is.

Have attached a vwx file, would be very grateful if someone could have a quick look and see if any thing jumps out at them.

One sheet layer, one design layer.

  6. Having a weird thing happen on my file.

The attached video should show what's happening.

Working on a design layer at scale 1:2.

Turn all classes on, go down to edit a group and the design layer scale changes to 1:50.

Is this some weird setting I'm missing?

  7. Thanks zoomer, I can;t seem to be able to add any.

I would like more than one but what ever value is entered I get the same error message pop up.

I even removed that section and still get the pope up when clicking next or OK

  8. I have a L shaped stair comprised of two landings and 2 straight runs of steps as shown in the image below.

At the moment the large straight run of steps has 12 treads with the start of the stairs having 1 tread.

I have tried to change the bottom stair to have 2 treads and get the error message "Calculated maximum number of treads is:1".

Tried to reduces the number of treads from 12 to say 11 or 10 and get the same error message.

Any ideas on how to fix?

  9. Thanks for the info guys. Is this a bug? I know in other products, eg word, office etc if you set the text to be left aligned it doesn't matter if the sentence is one line, 2 lines 3 lines etc. Actually this forum is a good example.

Wouldn't expect this is how this sentence should appear.
