  1. Thanks heaps for that man. Such a great tool, just starting to learn now.
  2. Not sure if someone can point out where I have gone wrong. I have tried to create a pool using the marionette. Have an extrude along path which creates the four walls. Have an extrude which creates the base of the pool. Have another extrude which will be the water (set down from the top of the pool edges). When I run exit I get a Marionette Execution Error, when I click on select node nothing selects. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pool.vwx
  3. This is still occurring and now causing other issues. Because it keeps reverting to layer instead of screen, when we copy and paste text etc the pasted text is now screen. If we then copy that text and paste into the annotation space of a viewport, there is no prompt that we are trying to paste a "3D" element into a space that can only cater "2D". The text pastes, however there are no blue nodes to edit the shape of the text etc. The only fix is to select all text cut, paste to a design layer, change to screen, cut, paste back in annotation space. Anyone got a suggestion on a better work around?
  4. Thanks for that Jonathon, I have watched a few of those but they only really work if you have used the tool from the beginning, it also seems to group series of revisions together giving the wrong date.
  5. Can anyone point me in the direction of where there is some literature or videos on the above?
  6. For some reason myself and others in the office are experiencing the following issue more and more. An object is drawn, could be a slab, rectangle, line etc. At some point the object needs to be deleted. All appears fine for a day or two, then the objects will start to show again. Have tried to isolate by turning of layers and classes, but the object still is not selectable, seems to be when zooming in or out it appears. have created a worksheet to say select all objects on layer "A" and whos class is "1". There will be say 5 objects that appear in the worksheet. I can for say 4 of them right click on the cell and choose select item For the one remaining one I cant select it using worksheet either. So far the only was is to duplicate the class it was originally on, out the stuff I want to keep on that new class, then delete the original class and then choose for all objects on that class to be deleted.
  7. For some reason any new class I create, when I try to delete it and delete any object on that class, I get the message "one or more of the objects that you are trying to delete is a required component or automatically generated component of a plug-in object and cannot be deleted". All Ive been putting on the classes is a rectangle or extrusion. Any ideas?
  8. Still having this issue on every job. Whats the solution? Pretty major bug as its the main components of pretty much any job other than landscaping and lighting design.
  9. Any ideas what would cause the following. Select multiple viewports, hit update, only one updates. Select multiple lines of text, change size, only one text object changes. etc etc
  10. Now I'm finding not even a restart of the computer is fixing...
  11. I've found that the restart of VW is effective but only for a short time, if I open and update viewport it will show correct, if I do something like update callout notes, then update viewport again (two seemingly unrelated tasks), the viewport will show black again. A restart of the computer seems to get a bit longer run with the VPs appearing as expected, but then randomly it will go back to black. Funnily enough most jobs ive tried the background appears black, on the current file the background stays white but the walls texture turn black.
  12. Ive tried the delete, and recreate method, but just happens again.
  13. So far it seems like a restart of the machine works where a restart of the application does not. Still need to check a few more times.
  14. Hi Pat, I have done that, the line weight is 0.05mm. There are no class overrides for that class in that VP.
  15. Any ideas how to stop these windoor arrows from showing up as thick lines? Hidden Line and OpenGL are fine, but final quality looks terrible.
  16. Hmmmmm note sure, I have tested on phone and media server at home and I can view. Is it with all vids or just some?
  17. Does anyone else experience the below when moving windoor IDs?
  18. Is there any update on this? As you can imagine this has a huge impact on any job, being that slab, walls and roof make up the three main components of a building. I'm about to set up my roof components, but very worried that there is going to be similar issues.
  19. I'm still experiencing this in 2017. Anyone else?
  20. Im also experiencing a similar issue with the slab styles. The zoom isnt an issue, its just when the class is turned off in a VP they still show.
  21. Hi Have attached the file below with my original wall styles and also yours Alan. You can see that the components do turn off, but when I zoom out they all show up. Wall_style_class_visibility.vwx
  22. Hi Zoomer, I'm wanting the framing to stay on, but I'm wanting the wall lining to turn off. At around 0:40 in the video you can see the lining is off as I have switched that class off, as I zoom out it suddenly shows even thou the class is still off. You can see afterwards I turn the class off and on again and then select the wall. the framing selection is highlighted which is what I suspect it to do, however the lining is not showing as being selected, but still shows.
  23. Yeah, have set to screen plane only, drawing for awhile and finding odd behavior, check an objects plane and notice it's layer, go back to settings and screen only is no longer selected.
