  1. Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to make a construct like this: I have VW 2010 and 2012 (educational version) Basically is it possible to make a "bulgey" shape/hill on a rooftop (or just a hill in general) from scratch/a pre-existing polygon/extrude? I've used Maya where it was you just click and drag vertices to change the shape of an object but there's...none of that on my polygon... um... to better illustrate what i'm trying to do I hope this will help:
  2. well. i've solved the problem. I solved it by upgrading to Windows 7. It works perfectly now. so i think it was a problem with compatibility of Vista with Vectorworks 2010.
  3. oh sry for some reason i thought i had 64 bit but i have vista 32 bit... orz er when i talked with the help vectorworks guy he gave me a link to update the drivers, but my comp said it already had the most recent version...? i gave him the dxdiag file and i copy-pasted what i think you guys are asking for? it's vectorworks 2010, the standard... version...? 4. other problems though? i uninstalled the QT on my computer and reinstalled with the VW supplied one, that let me actually start the problem, but this is VW 2010 and iono why it looks all funky like that... should i change my screen resolution? it's at 1280 x 800 atm
  5. ugh well after *finally* figuring out that the wrong ver. of quicktime was preventing vectorworks from starting, when it DID start, i got a funky looking window: basically I can't work like this because that "ghost" workspace hovering above the program makes it impossible to see anything or work... anyone know what the problem is? i run windows vista x64 on a sony vaio... (ugh why does vectorworks hate me so much... i never had these problems with autocad...)
  6. oh wow. wtf quicktime, why do you fail... thank you so much that fixed it!!!
  7. I got the 2009 DVD from my professor- it installed ok but when i try to actually START the program i get "Vectorworks 2009 Application has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available and I keep getting this, even though I tried to re-install So i went online and tried to get the 2010 release, installed ok, but then when i tried to START the program, I got the same error only this time it says "vectorworks 2010" please help! I run Windows Vista 64-bit on a Sony Vaio
